I honestly don't know where you can go from Xehanort. He's literally a mesh of every threatening villain thing. He's smart, ridiculous prepared, insanely powerful, basically immortal, and has powerful items on his side.

I guess we could have a smaller, more personal villain for Sora? But it jsut kinda seems like there's nowhere to go from Xehanort without it seeming a lot less threatening. Xehanort already has the ability to destroy worlds.

I don't necessarily have any specific qualifications about what/who the next big threat should be. I just hope that it doesn't feel like a total retread of what we already got from the Xehanort Saga (kind of like what they did with Legend of Korra season 2 with Tarrlok, aka Unalaq 2.0). It honestly doesn't matter to me if the next villain is a woman or not (in a way, Maleficent sort of fills that "gap"), though the idea of showing how the light can be vilified to the same extremes as darkness has would be interesting to see. If they are going to emphasize how darkness isn't inherently "bad" and that light and dark are supposed to be a balance, then perhaps they should show what happens when light tries too hard to tip the scales. It's not the traditional route to go with a story, but that's what makes it all the more interesting and creative, especially if done right.

This is kind of a "what if theory" heavily weighing on how KH3 ends, but if the world does end up destroyed and reshaped with everybody still alive, maybe the series could take place in a new "re-balanced" world, where light and dark are balanced differently than what we've seen before. This could heavily effect how the forces of evil align themselves, and maybe it could even change the natures of light and dark as well. But it all heavily depends on what happens.

Either way, as long as the story, ideas, and villains/threats are new, creative, and perhaps just a touch familiar, I'm pretty sure I'll be satisfied with however the future of the series turns out.  <3

i like your idea of a female villain using the light. istand of being the darkness disturbing the balance is the light :D

maybe with a  new type of weapon derived from the keyblade but with other power  :)  (don't know which i'm just writing  how can look the villain xD )

Nomura can always susprise you.

I would really like there to be Disney villians for the main villians. It would be pretty cool to have a bigger mix of Disney. That is what I really liked about the story in kh1. It wasn't just Ansem as the villian. There was also a collection of Disney villians, that were part of the main plot, that posed a threat.

Also, having a light that went bad has already been covered by Eraqus.

Whoever it is, I hope Sora has more of a reason to want to take them down other than because he/she is the bad guy. Maybe it could be a Disney villain again as the main baddie. Not Maleficent though.

just for pointed out: in the next saga, if nomura doesn't change his mind before, the main character is no more sora  ;) anyway i would prefer an original villain... or at least make it like in this saga with the 3 groups (the lights, xehanorts/nobody and disney villains/heartless) but like you said without maleficient :D

Oh I just came up with a great suggestion. It's been proven that Xehanort wasn't evil from the beginning and he once had a heart confirmed by Master Eraqus. There is a chance to make a new villain even more developed than Master Xehanort.

Okay so here's what I thought. I think that having a villain that was not born with a heart from the very beginning and instead is made by something as dark as the darkness that once swallowed the light would be something new. How about finding out about the true roots of Kingdom Hearts what's beyond it how about a villain that has been existing ever since light was created. Female villain or male villain don't know all that would be known about this powerful villain is that it's a mystery of who it is and whoever this villain is have the control of the Kingdom Hearts or may I say could be Kingdom Hearts itself

like I said in the other topic "A villain that uses light instead of darkness. A woman would be cool."

This series needs more woman. And the new villain being one would be a breeze.

your description remain me a bit a "vanitas in roxas's place" i explain: roxas (and the others nobody, maybe) in his first days was like a zombie (axel words xD) that doesn't really know what he was doing and which reason he fight..... so reading this i think at this "things" that even he/she doesn't know what is so he fight (maybe against both dark and light) trying to find out himself or something like that.... maybe your though was different, this is just a my interpretation xD

In light of the new cut scene in Re:Coded, I have a sneaky suspicion that, if he survives the coming battle.....

Xigbar might be the next saga's villain.

MOTHER F*CKING PLUTO

But seriously: our next villain in the next saga of the series... hmm... tough to decide, really. I mean, there's always the chance that a few key members of the True Organization, such as Braig or Isa, will live through KHIII and be our next main. Or, it could be somebody totally new. If they are new, I would at least appreciate if this new person and/or entity at least gets a nod to in KHIII, because like the past games, we've always been given hints to who the main antagonist of the next game is going to be, or at least it will be a character connected to the main conflict of next game and even more games to follow.

This basically. Although, i get the feeling it'd be someone new, i couldn't see Braig or Isa being the new villains of the next saga. I'm more rooting for someone using the Light as a weapon this time around, maybe Evil Aqua perchance? : 3

Now you're just pulling from our Fade Into Light RP. xD

I like the idea of a corrupted light wielding villain though it might just seem like a more powerful version of Eraqus. It'll be really hard to top Xehanort in terms of how much history and different forms he had, not to mention his journey started a lot like Sora and Riku's.

I think it would be good if there was more than one main villain so instead of a Xehanort-like person controlling an Organization, it would be people mutually working together maybe leading to a power struggle later on. They could also be less obvious about it than "guy in a black coat!" and maybe help out Sora then betray him. Also They should have some kind of past that builds up to their evil actions and whatever their purpose or goals are should only have become possible after Xehanort falls or else it will seem weird that they didn't act sooner. Like if there was some sort of natural disaster/ effect of what Xehanort does in KH3 and the new villains use that to set their plans in motion.

Like SquirtingDemyx said, it would also be nice if the Disney villains were more invovled in the main plot especially if some worlds get reused.

XehaMas = Sea Ham X?

I don't really care if the next villain used Light, Darkness or similar to Riku light with darkness (dawn).  Just feels like going "Well we've done darkness, so next one light!" seems so cliche and forced, it's practically a trope.  It'd be even more unique (but highly unlikely) to have a schiophrenic (or Disney Friendly, "Dual personality"/ brother and sister duo) type villain who flicked between lightness and darkness, rather than someone who just anchored to one side as we've already had.

I preferred the idea of Kingdom Hearts actually being opened near the end of KH3, and an entity springs forward that'll be the new villain (and KH could be closed afterwards by said force).  Not being confined to human norms means there'd be more extra opportunities the creators could use instead of "Okay, we basically do what we would have done with Xehanort, but it's gender/affiliation swapped!"

:O

I want

Gimme it!

grabby hands

Put me on the list that would want a Disney villain as the main antagonist. The reason the Disney element doesn't feel as prominent in recent games is because it hasn't been treated as such. If the writers and Nomura take the villains seriously and make them a threat, then they will be a threat. It's not like they have to go toe to toe with Sora: there's more than a fair share of plotters and schemers that could probably take everyone for a loop. Heck, I'm willing to bet that Ratigan would be able to concoct a scheme that would put Xehanort to shame, not to mention that it would have infinite more flair for the dramatic.

Nah, i always figured the next saga's villain would use Light as a weapon even before Axel made that. Evil Aqua's always been a favorite fan theory of mine anyway.

xehanort--->timetravel--->caius? or ultimecia?
