do you think riku and sora are finally going to show that there more then friends in kingdom hearts 3?

I'm not against homosexual couples, but I really think that Sora and Kairi are the more likely ones to end up being a couple.  Namine's words to Sora in Re:Chain Of Memories couldn't be clearer!

 

"Don't forget that you made another promise, a promise to someone whom you could never replace.  Look at the good luck charm I gave you.  I changed its shape when I changed your memory, but when you thought of her just once, it turned back to the way it was!  She is your light, your light within the darkness."

 

If that's not a clear indication of Sora loving Kairi, and I'm pretty sure Kairi loving Sora back, then I don't know what is.

 

Yep. This and many other hints throughout the series clearly indicate Sora and Kairi's love.

Yeah, but it's clear that they share a bond of brothers.  There are many male friends that consider themselves to be family because of all the time they've known each other, all the things they've been through.  I just really can't see Sora with Riku, they're just best friends, practically brothers, and that's how it should stay. ^_^

now i see where you are coming from, you see them as brothers and others like to see them as more. me myself i see them as both. thoughout the whole series sora and riku do share as one would say a bond like no other the strongest like it was stated in DDD. and looking at DDD, coded and ect. can you really blame people for seeing them as more? sorry for butting in. heh

No, not at all, there's no need to apologize, I like the discussion! (As long as the discussion doesn't lead to insults, lol.)  Yeah, I can understand why people see them differently than how I see them, and they're free to think what they want, but I personally think that Sora and Kairi will end up together.

yeah i see, and sora and kairi has been being shoved in everyones faces forcefully for a some time, i personally dont like it at all, imo it seems kinda shallow and forced in kh2 and after. Anyway, i kinda want no one together so that pairings are just open for everyone to do what they want with them.

Well, if nothing else, I think that one of the things the next saga of the Kingdom Hearts series should do is expand on Sora's relationship with Kairi, and have some development in there.  I'd like to see that.

lets hope, kairi has been negleted ever so much in the games. hopefully that would change soon. i dont have hopes for her in kh3 but the next saga for sure...and i think we are getting a bit off topic heh

As much as I like to ship characters I think adding romance would make it so awkward especially since there's going to be so much going on in this game

i have brothers and very close friends and i dont do the things sora and riku do i dont think anyone does people can just see theres just so much more with these two lol

Well not every relationship is the same. Everyone has different ways of displaying friendship between themselves and close friends.

Having gone through all the games again... maybe. I mean, there's a solid, incontrovertible moment in 1.5 where you see Sora change from "somebody who would do anything to save Kairi" to "guy who misses his bro". We'll see what III brings...

Okay, kindly stop preaching SoRiku. LEA will be training with LEA and they might become close friends, but for everyone's stupid "OMG KH2 SORA WAS SOOOO CRYING OVER RIKU"

Everyone is saying Sora is crying over Riku, but if you actually take two seconds to think it through, crying was logical. He just found Kairi. She's safe. Then...then he finds Riku, the friend he thought lost. The friend he had been searching for, for so long. When he was able to touch Riku, to be sure his best friend was alive, he broke down.

 

He was crying because he had both of his friends. He wasn't crying over Riku.

I think the general consensus is clear -- not even the people who actually like SoRiku think it should/will be in KH3. I'd say let's put it to rest and focus on what Kingdom Hearts is really about: friendship and existential themes and Disney and smacking things with giant keys.

I'm not down with brothers kissing. I would probably puke out my intestines and choke on them. 

I could see it happening. Disney wouldn't object either, they had a lesbian couple in one of their teen sitcoms.

The Sora X Riku fanbase only got more wanting when in KH2 where Sora just huged Kairi but got down on his knees and grabbed Riku's hands and started crying, that really opened it up.
