Hey there everyone, how's it going!?  Well then, here's a link that KHLegendIII posted to me about a Smash Bros. Ballot, asking people what fighters we want for Sakurai and the gang to put in Smash Bros!  I put Sora!  Everyone, this is our chance to potentially get a Kingdom Hearts character into a Smash Bros. game! Increase the chances of it being possible!  Here's the link! :D

prepare yourself the haters are coming

  • Not going to happen... I wish people would vote for Nintendo characters, which is what this ballot was actually meant for.

  • I think Sora would be a great addition to SSB4. His fighting style looks pretty unique and is liked among the video game/Nintendo community. Therefore, he should be the representative from KH to be in

If only the ballot let us say this much, lol. I always have to be very selective when I try to explain why Sora should be in there. X3"

I'd love him to appear. I laugh when people talk about how unlikely it is, because honestly. We had SNAKE. SNAKE, GUYS. If Snake can make it, albeit for one game, I wouldn't deny Sora.

I would love to see sora in smash, in fact i voted for him in the ballot several times, but i dont know how disney would let nintendo put sora in their game since they're disney (dont forget they cancelled dissidia kingdom hearts so square made that game a final fantasy one)

trying to get sora in a Smash game is like trying to tunnel through a brick wall with a plastic spoon

he's not really an iconic character like Snake from MGS or Pac Man, he doesn't have any strong ties with Nintendo and there are probably a dozen other characters that deserve to be in Smash besides him. I feel like the reason KH fans want him in Smash boils down to "Sora is my favorite character therefore he is a perfect fit for this cross-over fighting game."

just trying to be realistic here

Well, Dissidia is a bit more mature & dark than Smash Bros. Plus Smash Bros is more well known than Dissidia so if Sora is in Smash, it'll get more people curious of where he is from and play the games, especially if you play the 3DS version cuz you can get Days, Re:coded, and 3D

But disney is still disney and they wouldn't want their ip's to go to a nintendo game (but I really hope im wrong). And also all kh games on nintendo platforms are/will be ported to ps3/4 and the ones that werent were turned into movies.

I forgot to say that Neku would be good as a new character too (TWEWY is only on DS, isn't it? That's more than enough reason!).

Yes, but Dissisia is a Square game. Smash is a Nintendo game made in part by Namco Bandi. Whereas Square can use any FF or other character in their franchies (unless Disney waves the flag and says "No") Nintendo has the option for any goddamn character they want and can reasonably get. Sora has very little chance just off the fact alone that Smash is the exact opposite of what kind of game Disney wants to be represented in, they want to appear child-friendly from every face of their cube-shaped head.Even if we vote him up, Nintendo can try their hardest, but I doubt Disney will budge, and since he is related to and in part representing Disney in part, there isn't much we can do on this.On top of this, there are a thousand more popular and more fitting characters who have better odds and actually fit in with the roster more effectively, doing a "Sora" in smash may be hard due to having to chose what his move set is, his appearance, how to balance him, ect, and either you're going to disappoint fans or make him too powerful unless Sakurai gets lucky. Now, I'm not saying do not vote for him. I disagree with him deserving to be in smash, however, if you truly think he of all characters in the universe is the best for a platforming fighting game, go ahead. Just know that maybe someone else with better potential as a playable character out there exists and you giving your vote to Sora just because you like him as a character might be a mistake. A vote is your say in something, you better damn use it in ernest.

Roxas should be a skin, Ventus and Vanitas too but they have their own abilities.

Sora = balanced

Roxas = fast, but can be kicked easily out of the stage

Ventus = strong defense, weak offense

Vanitas = weak defense, strong offense

Dual-wielding keyblade = Smash for Roxas (Roxas wears Org.13 coat and can teleport anywhere, improves attacks)

Final form = Smash for Sora (he can fly, attack without breaks and use three keyblades at the same time)

X-Blade = Smash for Vanitas (one try to use a strong X-blade attack, only enemies in front of you will be attacked)

Armor Ventus = Smash for Ventus (improves agility, invulnerability and he can use keyblade glider)

Stage: Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion

A big stage like Hyrule Temple. The background is constantly switching between Radiant Garden and Hollow Bastion. Sometimes Heartless and Nobodies appear on the stage and in the background and Cloud, Leon, etc. are fighting.

Music: Hollow Bastion Theme, Radiant Garden Theme, The Encounter, The 13th Reflection

Disney has a lot of exclusive games on Nintendo platforms, so they have a relation. Also, what if people don't have a PS3 or PS4? the only way they can play is on the DS/3DS.

Well, what makes Smash opposite of the kind of games Disney wants? Smash is fun, it's very popular, it's great to play with friends. It's not as "realistic" as Dissidia. We're all pretty sure that Disney would like their product in a game that many people know of and will continue to play for years. And as for his moveset & balance, you can say that to almost every character people want in Smash and people has come up with moveset those characters that they want.

I personally think Sora is up there when it comes to characters to use from Square-Enix. Probably Sora, Crono, or a class from the original Final Fantasies.

It's a game where you can get punched so hard you fly off into the stratosphere. Disney doesn't want a reputation that endorses extreme violence and in their book, their hero getting punched in the face and sent off into space or reverse the role and having them punch someone into outerspace can be considered extremely violent. Disney has its dark moments, however it's current aim is to be family friendly, and as bright and cheery as Smash is, you won't see a normal American family sit down and play smash, at that's their target audience. Not that I like it much, some of the darker Disney movies are the best, in example Hunchback of Norte Dame, it's one of the best movies they've ever produced, but they don't always like to remember it exists the way it did.I mean, take a look at the straight-to-DVD sequel, which is of course really family friendly and not dark at all, you have your "I do evil things because I'm evil" villian and none of the last movies themes, even changing how some characters actually were for sake of making it something a child could watch easily. That's their target audience, young children. And as they are Disney, they're paranoid about any negative publicity. This is the company that basically erased Demi Levato off their TV network after people found out she had an eating disorder. They see Sora as a pseudo mascot of their steak in gaming, he is related to their icon characters, and just like they wouldn't let Mickey get KO punched by Little Mac, they won't let Sora either.

and plus, this would make me and many other people the have more patients towards the development of kingdom hearts 3 since it is not coming out anytime soon and that playing as a character that you love so much in a video game that lets you beat up characters from other video games is honestly pretty awesome. xD

God, I voted for Sora ever since the early days of the Ballot, and I'm severely hoping he makes it into the game!  It'd be frickin amazing!  I can even imagine what his attacks would be!  His Down Smash could be Zantetsuken, his Side Smash could be Sonic Raid, and his Up Smash could be Blitz, since he jumps up high with that attack! :D  God, I'd love to see him in Smash!  He'd fit perfectly in the game! X_X
