You mean like KH1 Never Land or Aqua's Never Land in BBS? Sure, I guess that'd be nice to see, but I don't think it's a necessity.

Does it matter at this point?

I feel like both KH and KHII had a good amount of Disney Worlds that contributed to the main storyline.

They're a huge part of the universe. If they're not important, what is?

Aren't they half/half already with FF?

THEY TOTALLY SHOULD!!!!!!!! xP

I think the Disney Worlds definitely should incorporate the main story more.  I felt that - with the exception of the Grid - they just there and didn't add to the story much at all, especially in KHII.  In KH they had had to lock the heart of each world.  I think Deep Jungle was the best in that game.  If they Disney worlds are there, they should have something to add to the story.

Definitely. KH1 was definitely the perfect blend of Disney/SE stuff because of that, and in the sequels it became more one-sided with all of the story beats happening outside of them and the Disney worlds having self-contained plots. Would love for them to come full circle and return to that KH1 style for KH3, though it's probably unlikely since it's the end of this entire arc

Well In like every Kingdom Hearts game besides Days and Coded and to maybe some extent Dream Drop Distance was about looking for someone, in Sora's case it's Riku and Kairi in Kingdom Hearts 1 and then Riku and Mickey in CoM and Kingdom Hearts 2, and he went through all the worlds looking for them hoping that they would be in the world or at least some kind of clue to where they could be. Birth by Sleep started with Terra looking for Master Xehanort, Ven looking for Terra, and Aqua looking for Ven but then after Radiant Garden it became Ven looking for friends, Aqua looking for Terra, and Terra idk really what he was doing.  Days you where sent out to those worlds as part of a mission gather hearts, Coded was just to find info about what was going on in the journal, Dream Drop Distance started as Sora and Riku looking for each other in the first world then they just went with the flow in that they where doing their own thing by themselves.  Kingdom Hearts 1 and in my opinion Dream Drop Distance both had a really good mix of the main story being part of the worlds you go visit Birth by Sleep also had a pretty good mix as well more so in the first three worlds because of what it would have in the future games with those worlds or more so the characters in those worlds.  I wouldn't mind if the main story of Kingdom Hearts was more involved with the Disney worlds but I'm fine with how they are doing it now.

I put "Another Option" because while I think that the Disney Worlds are important, I also think that they are fine just the way they are in terms of the story flow!  The important thing is that the Disney worlds stick to their conflicts, and in said conflicts, the characters of the KH Universe learn more about themselves or advance a bit of the plot forward!  So I say that the story flow between main story and the story of the various Disney worlds is alright with me! :3

In that I think that Disney worlds should mesh more with the overarching plot of the series, yes. KH2 almost did it right- Xaldin is mucking around Beast's Castle, Demyx running through Olympus Coliseum, Luxord and Xigbar showing up in the second halves of Port Royal and Land of Dragons, respectively, Space Paranoids is actually Ansem the Wise's PC- and the rest was kind of just fluff. I like when that kind of stuff happens, it makes the worlds feel actually connected and that things that happen in each of them really matter. Worlds like Halloween Town and Atlantica are fine and all, but the events that happen there really don't matter in the grand scheme of things.

I don't really care honestly,I think its fine as it is.I really don't play Kingdom Hearts for the Disney part,I play for the original stuff and the Final Fantasy cameos,so as long as I have that, they can do whatever they want with the Disney worlds and how much they are related to the overall plot.

IDK, it seems more likely to me. KH3 has a lot of ground to cover with its plot, with saving everyone, an upcoming war, and even more to add on top of all that. I honestly think they'll be forced to shove some of the main plot into Disney Worlds at this point.

I don't really care. They could be important and they could not and it wouldn't make much difference to me as long as they are well put into the game.

Of course they should. It's a disney-Square Enix crossover, why not make the Disney worlds actually have a purpose in the main story? Sure, the organization XIII interacted with the Disney worlds, but the Disney worlds were hardly mentioned in the main story outside those worlds. For instance, Maleficent never mentioned anything about remembering the time where she wanted to take over the Disney castle the first time during KH II. Remember that from KH II where Sora & co. went back into the past to save the Cornerstone from Maleficent? Well, they most certainly didn't. Completely forgot about it.

I thought they were all pretty important in their own right. Some of them are more diversionary than others, but there's always some sort of thematic relevance that helps it at the end.

I definitely think it would be cool to have the Disney worlds more involved with the main plot. It would help with the story pacing quite a bit, since it seems to be a bit of a problem (see DDD where pretty much everything important happens at the end of the game).

Personally, I don't exactly love how the Disney worlds are basically shorter, worse versions of the movie plot line that just have heartless plus Sora thrown in. An example of what I like was KH2's Beast Castle, and how a lot of the plot in that world was driven by Xaldin. We can still have the movie plots in general, but I'd like to see them mix it up a bit more.

KINGDOM HEARTS executed it perfectly with Neverland. Perfect mix of Main Story and Disney Story. I think this should be the case more often.

I totally agree with you.

Yeah, why not? It would give some worlds an actual purpose to the story.

Peace!
