What if Master Xehanort isnt the bad guy?

Posted

It sounds crazy, but Square would throw some crazy curveball. Also do you think any protagonist are gonna die?

Lol, have you got any evidence whatsoever to back up this claim?

Yeah, the white haired dude who wants to ignite war isn't the bad guy.

That's the direction it seems to be going

which really sucks

Xehanort is the only character they haven't destroyed to make someone else look good

Xehanort's heart switching. Young Xehanort not knowing his goal. Xehanort having the most ancient keyblade. Implications in KHx

Well it was more a question directed at the OP, as I myself share the view that I don't think Xehanort is an evil character.

PLOT TWIST IT WAS MICKEY ALL ALONG

Well...we could have a plot twist and turn out to be one of the foretellers controlling him all this time, in the shadows.

I said "what if".

Kingdom Hearts completely flips the script with every game they drop.

Maybe Xehanorts a puppet of some sort, or just misunderstood.

I just wonder how theyre gonna spice stuff up.

There is no real good and bad in the KH universe. It's a matter of perspective.

In my opinion even Xemnas wasn't so bad in KH2. He wanted a heart but the "light people" took him the right to exist. And now? Let's bring Roxas back, he deserves to be his own person. Lol.

Org13 members will be so firetrucked up if they see that Xehanort want to do something good.

I really hope they don't pull the "I was being controlled by the real bad guy" move at the end. Seriously screw that sh*t.

It turns out that Xehanort jumping bodies and possessing Terra was the second time he had done that. Xehanort is just a victim of some other evil master mind from a previous era.

It would be awesome if Kingdom Hearts itself was the real villain this whole time. Dont know how that could be pulled off but it would still be pretty shocking

The only reason I would see to back up Xehanort is because he thinks Light and Darkness should be in union. So I back him up there. BUTTTTT he wants to start another war

This would be the equivalent of Xenoblade Chronicles climax. Speaking of which, what about if Xehanorts inherited Keyblade held the true antagonist and it was the one that was jumping from body to body (like Zanza from Xenoblade Chronicles)?

I really hope that they do something unexpected here.  I mean, it's great and all that Master Xehanort is the super bad guy here, but where is the suspense in this?  It can't be that straightforward.  There's got to be something more than this or I'll be seriously disappointed.  I am, however, wondering if Xehanort isn't really the villain, something that I've thought frequently.  That, or he wasn't always.  Perhaps something--or someone--really corrupted him in his youth to meet certain goals.  It'll be interesting to see.

This is almost exactly what I think will end up happening, but we'll have to see.

Now *that* is an interesting concept, and a super cool one at that!  I don't know how they would do it either, but it would certainly be a very unexpected twist and signify that concept of "it's not always as it seems."

Mayby but don't think so we are getting future games.

Would be idd nice.

Are you saying this because Rich Conli said so and how he looks like Master Xehanort?

Yes, the man who clearly ruined every trio in Kingdom Hearts is defiantly not evil.

"Roy" Conli. To be honest, I never made much of him saying that he likes Xehanort "as a good guy".

Whoops... Roy Conli. My mistake. Ok, I thought you say this because he liked him and thought Master Xehanort was a nice guy (which he did).

considering sora's the one closing doors and xehanort is with the people opening them, I wouldn't be surprised lol They just wanna explore! :3

Yeah, he's definitly not a bad guy. He only uses people, treats their hearts and bodies like tools, then throws them away and is trying to start a war that will destory the World out of idle curiousity.

While these kind of twists may be common for Square, we also have to remember that it's a Disney game as well. Disney seems to be taking a more proactive role in the development of KH3 than they have in the past and they tend to be pretty straight forward. If it turns out he's another victim I'll be very disappointment. This is supposed to be the end of the Xehanort Saga, if he's being manipuated, that means this whole saga is just part of a larger one. I'd rather start fresh with KH4, new worlds (no returning worlds, well, except DI because Sora) and a new antagonist unconnected to Xehanort. Maybe another time skip like 2 or 3 years. Maybe.
