June 26, 201510 yr Cool. Not gonna act like I'm overjoyed, since it really affects me in no way, but great for them.
June 26, 201510 yr Humanity is taking another step in the right direction. This is amazing news!
June 26, 201510 yr If America was going to continue to be America, then this almost had to happen eventually. I don't support it because marriage is between one man and one woman, but as long as they don't force people to go against their religious beliefs to endorse something they don't believe in, then I guess there is nothing to complain about.
June 27, 201510 yr So today the Supreme Court decided to legalize gay marriage in all 50 states, deciding it was unconstitutional to not allow it. Everyone has been so excited in LA where I live today, and so many companies and people are celebrating online. This has been a great day! Which logos do you think look the best?
June 27, 201510 yr At long last! Same sex marriage is legal in all 50 states! Hooray for progress and hooray for love! I don't personally know that many LGBTQ in my life, but for the few that I do know and the many I don't, I am very happy for each and every one of them! If there are STILL people hating and discriminating out there based on an outdated bias, then oh well, their voices will drown out over time. What matters now is that the biggest obstacle for so many people pursuing happiness is finally dealt with and the struggle has just gotten a little bit easier. I pray that this will be the first step of many positive changes we start to see happen over our generation and the many generations afterwards. And so, until an official national holiday is announced for this occasion, I'd like to unofficially dub this day as Rainbow Day! No matter who you are or who you like, there's happiness out there for you and we all deserve it! Spread the love in the form of a colorful upside-down smile! This country just got 20% cooler, if nobody minds the pun! X3"
June 27, 201510 yr I understand many people are calling this a great victory, but I have to be devils advocate before I go to bed. The Supreme Court of The United States should not have taken away the right of states to self govern and decide. They went further to legalize it forcefully, instead of declaring gay marriage constitutional, and letting the states decide. A few states opposed this idea, many based on Christian principles and views. The SCOTUS declaring it legal, instead of not against the Constitution, was a bad move. It's only going to start problems - already state Governors have said they disagree with it but will follow. Funny. It sounds like something was forced upon them. I stand by the Govenors who say they refuse to force any church, pastor, or religiously affiliated business that disagrees with homosexuality, their right to freedom of religion and freedom of speech. I hold no animosity towards the LGBT community, especially because I myself have friends who are part of that. But this victory can, and will, cause more problems because the Federal Government took away the States' right to choose. I mean no harm by this. But I say this in are position of nuetrality. I'm seriously stressing that I have no problems with the LGBT, even though I'm Christian, it's I have a problem with how this was handled and how it was passed, and how it infringes on each states right to self govern. That's my view. Love wins. But look st all sides of your victory, before filling the sky with fireworks. Please
June 27, 201510 yr This is awesome news. If running a Kingdom Hearts blog with over 30,000 followers has taught me anything, it's that a large portion of the fan base is a member of the LGBTQ community, so I could not be happier by this news. Congratulations to everyone this helps to achieve their dream to marry the person they love.
June 28, 201510 yr I heard about this yesterday, and I have to say, this is a great achievement for the LGBT community! Now they can be able to marry whomever they want without having to deal with any problems! Love comes in many shapes and sizes and forms, and no one should be deprived of love, regardless of sexual orientation! Sure, I'm straight, and I would never be gay, but to those who are, I am happy for them, and may they be able to pursue their happiness with no fear anymore! God bless everyone, and may this be a beacon of light towards accepting everyone as equals, yeah?
June 29, 201510 yr Congrats America. Now if only Westboro Baptist Church could deal with it instead of being annoying protesters. Edited June 29, 201510 yr by twilight_roxas
