What, For You Personally, Is Essential for KH3?

Posted

What's something that as far as you're concerned is ESSENTIAL to KH3?

Whether it's a cutscene, a character, a combat mechanic, a piece of music, a frozen world or whatever. Even if it's something really petty, we're not here to judge

Personally, I think KH3 needs Traverse Town to come back. I've recently been thinking about KH1 and CoM, and how Hand in Hand sort of became the unofficial theme of KH... but that kinda got dropped. I think they need to bring things full circle, have Sora return to the first world he visited, now a seasoned badass, and with an awesome remix of both the normal and battle themes

The music. Can't live without the music!

I really hope that Kingdom Hearts III has the Realm of Darkness and Castle Oblivion as worlds, or at least temporary worlds.

The sense that the worlds you visit actually have people living in them and aren't just the ruins of an ancient civilization. It's excusable in the older games, but now that KHIII has made itself much more open, I think seeing more than one world with actual civilians walking around the cities should be required. KHII is the closest to achieving this effect, but given the PS2's processing power and the idea that the Heartless only show up in combat 'zones' walled off by loading screens, it doesn't entirely work.

So, what the idea that loading screens will be a rarity tells me is that we'll be seeing more instances of actual people walking around that you can interact with. I'm not asking for GTA levels of NPCs walking around, but I'd like for the worlds to not be barren, vacant stretches of land, either.

A LOT of worlds imo, especially explorable versions of old original worlds. I need to see Castle Oblivion again, but with more Ven.

Well wish granted on the amount of worlds buddy cause Nomura himself said that KH3 will have more worlds than KH2 (more than 13). :D

We need a definite solution for Namine, Roxas and Xion. I love those characters and now they're practically stuck in limbo.

The thing that really makes me get into a game is post-game content or anything to make me continue playing the game after I finish the main story. In BBS it was the short story that made me replay it so many times to get a good time. The journal is also a key part in all KH games that I want to come back since I am a completionist and want to 100% every KH game and the journal helps that. Also secret bosses are awesome too. One of the reasons that I was so into KH1 was because of all of the secret bosses (Sephiroth, Ice Titan, Phantom, Kurt Zisa, Xemnas) and KH2 was a slight disappointment with only have a one-time fight with Sephiroth before Terra came out.

So basically here is what I want in order

1. amazing secret/optional bosses that you can battle more than once

2. a list of challenges to complete (ex:Jiminy's Journal)

3. an amazing story mode that is enjoyable to replay

All of this in combination with the main game being amazing

now that I think about it .. don't the heartless basically murder everyone? Or do they just search for the heart of the worlds and steal people's hearts that are in their path?

Because this is a numbered title, I want a new opening song made by Utada Hikaru.

It has to have for me awesome Disney characters and..........sweet new heartless that are new to the series!

It needs way more epic battles/animations/sequences. Stuff like the battle of 1000 heartless but better. One of my favorite things about KH is how easily crap hits the fan and how awesome the animations of all the attacks is. I want the reaction commands to be epic and better than it was in KH2. I want parts that will give me goosebumps and gets my heart pounding like every single KH game.

I also want amazing music, the story in the Disney worlds to have relevance to the main plot, as well as more character development. I just want to be amazed just like I was in every KH game. I know Nomura is going to deliver. He has to.

Storywise, more MX character development. He's been such a cardboard cutout villain without any real personality for so long, it'd be nice to actually have a reason to give a shit about him. Same with Eraqus; he's too two-dimensional (and really kind of a dick).

In terms of gameplay, I want them to drop the Command Deck entirely. It was always a pale imitation of the Command Menu anyway and it was only used because the handheld games that used it had much more limited control schemes. Now that KH is back on home consoles, there's no reason not to go back to the great system the games used to have.

I mean, that's basically what they did in DDD, remixed music and all, isn't it? (Except they also shoehorned in TWEWY.)

Worlds not being abandoned[WHY HAS NO ONE ASKED NOMURA ABOUT THAT?!!!!!]

Castle Oblivion

THE CHANCE TO KICK XEHANORT'S ASS ONCE AND FOR ALL WHILE PROUDLY EXCLAIMING,"Check me out, I'm the Ghost of Christmas KICK YOUR ASS"

KH3 having an exciting and entertaining story.  Also a new game + option.  (I can be hopeful of that right?)

Tie all the loose-ends,solve all the plotholes, give Sora a genuine character development and a better character arc, give the Disney worlds their own plot that ties to the overall stories like how KH1 did rather than being filler abridged versions of their movies, never be afraid to sacrifice a character against Xehanort if you need to,make the final battle with Xehanort as climactic as possible, make Xehanort a much more menacing and more competent villain and I will repeat again:TIE ALL THE LOOSE ENDS AND WRAP UP THE XEHANORT SAGA IN A NICE SATISFYING CONCLUSION AND LEAVE THE QUESTION LEADING TO THE NEXT SAGA LATER

Voice actors. Obviously they'll have to replace some, nature of the business, but probably my biggest worry about the game right now is not having certain VAs reprise their roles, especially if this is the last game that some of them will appear in.

I don't want Dream Traverse Town, I just want Traverse Town. And also not a dream remix, but a normal remix

I don't mean from a story point of view, I mean as a game design choice, they've already revisited TT and expanded it with huge new areas and remixed both the normal and battle music. It's basically the same thing you're asking for. If you want them to do it again in KH3, I guess that'd be cool, but it's not like it'd be the first time.
