What is your BIGGEST fear for Kingdom Hearts III?

Posted

Personally, I'm worried about the backlash the game could get due to its story. There will be people who have only played the mainline games and won't understand much about the story.

Anyway, how about you?

  • My fear is that Donald won't heal me when I'm in need.

  • I fear that it won't live up to everyone's extremely high expectations and that causes the whole series to crash.

It's a tie between the inclusion of Star Wars and Marvel and no multiple playable characters, as in, we only play as Sora.

If the game will even be good or not.

not having a well thought out reason to save those who need to be- I mean if we simply rescue Aqua by going to the Realm of Darkness and that's it etc or Sora arriving at CO and Ven waking up without much explanation. I doubt any of this will happen especially with the ' Key To Return Hearts' concept, but it would be cheap if it did

That I die before the game gets released.

My biggest fear is seeing more of these exact topics before the game actually comes out.

Realistically my biggest fear has been the voice acting. Especially with some of the older voice actors now deceased or replaced, it's going to be an adjustment. But as long as they get the core three (which I think should be achievable) then I'll be content.

^ This. I do not want Kingdom Hearts 3 to be AC: Unity v2.0 for one.

Please, do not remind me of that monstrosity. It was clear that by the end of the game, UbiSoft had no idea what they were doing. They were literally milking a dead cow. The bugs just made it even worse.

I would have to say I´m worried about marvel being part of KHIII (not so much about Star Wars),but my biggest fear is: Atlantica coming back

Don't worry. The story in Atlantica is finished. There is nothing left to tell. ;)

That all our expectations will ruin the game. Although I am extremely hyped I'm trying to keep my expectations as low as I can.

I just don't want to be disappointed after all these years.

Oh and the bugs... please no

No chocobo racing D:

I fear that keyblade combos will be too underwhelming. In the trailer they looked as weak as in BBS which concerns me.

I also fear that Nomura won't be able to salvage the story from the mess it's already in.

My biggest fear is we still have text cutscenes and lifeless worlds.

I'm afraid that the proactivity of the main characters will be limited because of Xehanort's perfect plan. I'd like it if our heroes can be active and able to have a quest other than just playing into his hands.

I fear that there will be too many rants saying how Nomura killed the series and how even Re:coded was better and other rants to that degree and articles slamming the series or the title alone (IGN already does that, but no one pays attention to them). I also fear that there will not be as many sales as it should have.

Even if Drive Forms return, we definitely won't be getting Valor, Master or Final since Sora will lose the ability to dual wield after returning Ventus' heart.

This is Nomura we're talking about, undisputed master of the asspull. He can easily make Sora dual wield, or even wield 10 keyblades at once with the "My friends are my power" cheat. Something like "Sora's connection with these characters is so strong he is able to summon their Keyblades from worlds away."

add me to the not making it like bbs side. The trailer really didn't display fluid combos, and kinda looked like they were going towards BBS route to me.

I fear that it will have expansive worlds, but the stories for them will be really short, and finished way too quick. The series has always done a really poor job with how they pace the worlds. The worlds stories are super short with very little detail. I really want them to flesh the stories out better with more cut scenes and dialogue.

Or they could make the gameplay segments longer since cutscenes are long enough as they are. :P

That's fine, I'm just not wanting the worlds length to rely mostly on grinding

www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8WSBsNagEo  I need this to change... is from the E3 trailer

I don't think you need to worry about the text cutscenes, seeing as we haven't had those in Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance.

Oh, i forgot about that, thank goodness

-That they will be to soft with the final battle.
-To short
-No playable Riku
-Not much dark.
