It is now available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 & Windows PC.

 

It also available on PlayStation Now (in select countries) and iOS & Android in Japanese.

They're doing more than just FFVII on PS4, they're also the ones porting the mobile games to PC.

Square Enix aren't going to cancel the game. This is the company that stayed mostly quiet about Versus XIII for 7 years.

 

The PS4 version of VII is literally just the PC port that is currently available, knowing SE they probably will give a release date at E3. Also, they wouldn't cancel the game just because a few whiny FF fans cried they weren't getting a full HD remake riddled with ridiculous expectations. It's easier to bring VII to PS4 if they just use the PC port (which is in HD).... Heck it'd be even easier if Sony let us play our PSOne Classics library on the PS4, but sure why not charge us again for the game.

Kitase has tweeted that they're aiming to release the PC port of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in Autumn.

In a Community Q&A in early 2013, director Motomu Toriyama said Luxerion "could be almost somewhere like Paris."

 

Obviously this is interesting now because Lightning ends the game in a France-like area.

In an interview to promote the international release of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII for PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360, the head of Square Enix Business Division 1, Yoshinori Kitase discussed a potential port of the title to PlayStation 4 & Xbox One.

 

 

Technically, it would be perfectly possible. It'd probably take about half a year to get all that sorted and get the port done. 

 

Keep in mind this doesn't factor Final Fantasy XIII or Final Fantasy XIII-2 so it'll probably be about a year. Chances are they started work on porting the XIII series to PS4 & Xbox One after they finished porting Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. It's a very real possibility we could see it in 2016 or 2017.

Yep, the more platforms Motomu Toriyama's games are on the better!

It's good to see how they want to keep FFXIII going on moving it into several platforms.
