Just as the title says, imagine Sora doesn't make it into Smash, what character would you like to see taking his place in Smash? (it doesn't have to be a Nintendo character, it could be any... even another KH character...)

 

Just like many of you probably know, I honestly want to see Isaac in (you know, the main character of Golden Sun), mainly because he's the main character of a game I really like from Nintendo. If it isn't Isaac, I would like to see Zael from The Last Story, Emil/Lloyd (I don't mind which of the two) from Tales of Symphonia or the Black Knight from Fire Emblem Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn.

 

As I said, it doesn't have to be a Nintendo character, but I just like those Nintendo characters .

Yes, there's too much obsession, that's why I've done this thread, because I'm one of the few who don't want him in, so I just want to know the opinion of other people leaving Sora's obsession aside XDD.

I don't mind if Sora doesn't make it into Smash and to be honest I'm not really expecting him to.

 

Though I did vote for him alongside the Inklings (Splatoon) & Professor Layton (The Professor Layton Series). Oh and the Ice Climbers but I sadly don't have much faith in them coming back either...

Shovel Knight appears to be a shoe-in. Shantae wouldn't surprise me either.

If he doesn't get in, I would like to see Lloyd Irving and/or Luke Fon Fabre in smash

I voted for Shantae.If not her, I'm okay with: Issac, King K. Rool, Wolf, Shovel Knight, Bomberman, or Bayonetta.As cool as Banjo-Kazooie would be, it probably won't happen.I don't think Sora should be in the game. Period. Yes, Kh has been on Nintendo handhelds, but if Sora is anything, he is a Sony character at heart.

I voted for Neku. Sure Square Enix created him, but he did originate on a Nintendo console and many consider it one of the biggest masterpieces on the DS. Sora would be cool, but I honestly doubt he'll be in and if he is, it won't even be the good Sora.

Inklings since I feel they will be the most interesting ones. I hope they make their fighter more unique.

Bow down to the King: The only person I've wanted in this game for this whole thing is K.Rool. I like playing as heavyweight characters, and I'd like to actually have more of them added in. More than that, Smash Bros. plays on nostalgia, and Donkey Kong Country was a big part of my childhood. To get to herald back to those memories would help me actually enjoy Smash Bros. again.

I personally don't want Sora in, but I'll list my top choices anyway.

 

1. Seven (Xenoblade)- Obvious choice for me. Sakurai doesn't really factor spoilers into determining if he can include a character or not (Look at Sheik and Lucina), so I think Seven could potentially make it.

2. Ouendan cheerleaders (Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!)- The way I see it, each alternate costume could be one of the eight leaders, similarly to how Bowser Jr. had the Koopalings as his costumes.

3. Shovel Knight- The main character of my favorite Indie game, why wouldn't I want him included? He has a lot of potential with his moveset, and he's a really cool character. I'd also hope that he has a costume based off of Black Knight, seeing as how he's probably my favorite character from Shovel Knight.

4. Inkling (Splatoon)- Popular choice, but I love Splatoon, and the Inklings would be a lot of fun to play as.

5. Masked Man (Mother 3)- I've never played Mother 3 (Waiting to see if Nintendo decides to localize it, my hopes were renewed with Mother 1 being released in the West now), but I love the other entries in the series, and Masked Man seems like he'd be a really cool choice to add in. If anyone's going to bring up the spoiler argument, I'll refer you back to my statement regarding Seven.

 

I have more, but I'll just stick to my top 5 for now.

Sora would be a dream come true, but if he didn't get in then the only other character I would ever want to see that I care about would be Snake. His inclusion in Brawl helped get me into the MGS series so it would only be fitting to have either him or Big Boss honor Kojima by being in this game during this rough transition period. Then again, freaking Konomi...

 

Also, Sora would still be a reasonable possibility, so it shouldn't be a surprise that a bunch of KH fans on a KH fansite would want to see him in one of the most epic crossover fighting games of all time. What's more surprising is why people wouldn't understand that kind of hype, especially when they're KH fans. It's one thing to doubt if he will ever make it in, that's all opinion based and it's all well and good, but not understanding why any interest for him being included would even exist in the first place? That doesn't make sense to me. Whether you want to see him in or not or whether you think he'll be in or not, you should at the very least understand the basic logic that if there is a game that a character has a chance of being in and a lot of people here are fans of that character, they will naturally want to see him be included in there in some shape or form.
