Most intense music in the Kingdom Hearts series

Posted

For me, it would a tie between Night of Fate and Rage Awakened, if KH1 didn't happen. But it did, which is why Night of Fate gets my vote.

In KH1, the moment where the island plunges into darkness is one of the most intense moments in the Kingdom Hearts series for me, mostly because the Heartless were unlimited, and the music was really, really intense.

What song do you guys think are more intense, or do you agree with me?

My favorite intense Kingdom Hearts music is The Dread of Night in Dream Drop Distance when Riku fights the Anti-Black Coat trying to wake Sora up from his nightmares. My favorite boos fight and favorite moment in the entire game!

"Are you what's trapping him in that nightmare? But cause if you are...I'm what nightmares fear!"

This. God, it's so intense and fast paced.... listening to it really gets my heart racin', so bad I almost get a heart attack whenever I listen to it.

Woah, damn straight.

Has to be this song for me. Holy shit when you hear it you know you are screwed. Apprehension is also a good option though, but this one is far more intense.

This is such a hard question to answer. I can't choose a favorite and their isn't enough room to put some favorites either. Hopefully Kingdom Hearts 3 will help with that.

Thank you for showing me this masterpiece. Now Winnie the Pooh is basically Speed Racer for me. Thanks!

Every musical piece is like an essay

You know what all the above songs that have been mentioned so far have in common? (except for Bounce-O-rama)

They all have string ensembles played in staccato (quick bow slides), but since they're all battle themes or pre-battle themes

This creates an air of suspense and tension.

I think the tremolo style of string ensemble playing would also permit a similar effect but thats just me

This is coming from a self-proclaimed music analysist and the noobiest musician to ever grace youtube

Tension rising is pretty much the most intense music in the franchise.

We all know Dark Impetus and its KH3D counterpart are the most intense.

I just remembered that Cavern of Rememberance battle theme! That was intense and fast paced!

Darkness of the unknown

Can't get anymore intense than this, got the high pitched choir and everythin'

I'm gonna have to go with Dark Impetus. Some of the intensity I feel when I listen to the track may be because of the YX boss battle itself, but it's still a great track.

Still surprised no one else prefers Night of Fate. One of the best tracks in the kingdom hearts series so far, at least in my opinion. Fast tempo, excellent piano, and the intensity is through the roof!
