Not gonna lie I like her and it's cool that she's in, but I'm dissapointed that like, it's just her. Don't get me wrong Bayonetta is cool but I think most of us were expecting more characters.

I don't understand why so many people are salty.

Yeah... I call BS.Did Bayonetta get #1 in Europe? Yeah, maybe, I guess...No lie, I NEVER saw her in anyone's top 5 in America.

I'm so happy bayonettas in, I still want to see Sora, but maybe they're trolling us and he still has a chance in the future.

Ikr? Like, the way Nintendo was hyping it up (along with everyone just being excited) it really looked like it was going to be at least three ballot characters. I'm surprised Bayonetta got in as no one even mentioned her. I forgot about her until the trailer. Everyone wanted Sora, Wolf, Shovel Knight, Shante, etc, and I really thought those characters would get in. Considering they said it's the last fighter, I think that's it for Smash.

There are literally no characters in it that make me want the game. It seems like some characters were put in just to shut some people up. But hey if you like it go right ahead.

Super Smash Brothers is so freakin epic now...broings together characters from FF, LoZ, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Xenosaga, Bayonetta and a bunch of other series...now all it needs is a couple of characters from the Tales series, Okami, Golden Sun, Digimon, YuGiOh, Naruto, Bleach and Kingdom Hearts and it'll be even more epic

Now that I thought about it more, I really find this direct to be underwhelming. Again, it was cool that Bayonetta won and stuff, but I was expecting so much more. Nintendo was talking about the direct like it was so historical for Smash. Sure, Bayonetta is a big deal but it's the same thing with Cloud and characters like Solid Snake. They could've just revealed the trailer on YouTube or just had a regular Smash direct today instead of "thebiggestsuperamazinghypehistoricalsmash" direct most of us was thinking it was going to be. I think it would've been more exciting to just announcer her in a regular way. Still gonna play as her, but I got so excited today and I'm kinda just like "wat" right now. Sure, I wanted Sora in but I'm not even mad at that. I'm just disappointed on how underwhelming it kinda was.

Overall it was underwhelming. I was expected a few more retro stages and (again) more new characters. Bayo was perhaps the only saving grace for this presentation imo. Not really into mii costumes, even if it has one of my favorite series in there. (Megaman EXE, but that's old news.)

BAYO 2 IS LIKE MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME AND I LOVE THE FIRST ONE AS WELL!!! God I'm so hyped. When I heard Pit and Palutena talking, I was soooo worried over it being a Kid Icarus character, ugggh... and then goddamn Bayonetta talking about slaying angels and Pit and Palutena talking about demons so casually oh my gOD YES. I am SO happy, she was the character I voted for too!

Tangent: I don't entirely get the "they should've had more characters" thing. As far as I know, ballots tend to have a single winner, and afaik they didn't say that there'd be multiple fighters taken from the ballot, so yeah. Also, saying "ugh everyone I know wanted X and Y and Z" doesn't really mean much, unless you know the opinions of the majority of Smash players in the world. Yeah, Bayo didn't get #1 in America, but they said she got #1 in Europe iirc and she was pretty high up for the realizable characters.

Also, we're getting Corrin (which I think he's in b/c he's popular in JP? + Sakurai really likes FE apparently, but heck, he's not just another sword guy) and Cloud (even though he was announced earlier). They weren't ballot characters, but at least they're new characters. So there's three new characters, making seven DLC dudes in all, with is a good number imo

 

Anyway, back on topic: Artwork is awesome (esp. with Ryu and Mac punching each other ), and Bayo's gameplay looks really cool. These new DLCs have actually gotten me hyped for the DLCs

Eh, I'm not too impressed.  Bayonetta seems alright, but as a character I can't say that I really care for her.  Her fighting style seems interesting enough, however.  It will be interesting to have another shooter in the game.

Oh, if it had a character from Golden Sun I would be so thrilled!  All we get is a cameo of Isaac and a couple of Lost Age battle themes, though, apparently. : (

I voted for Sora but I'm totally fine with Bayonetta. I loved the first game but unfortunately I don't have a Wii U so I can't get Bayo-2
