Thanks to @Square_Portal on Twitter, we've got an image of a banner in the Los Angeles Convention Center featuring new Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue artwork.

This banner depicts what appears to be the same Aqua render used in the Mystery Medal Campaign that took place recently in the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ as well as renders of Sora and Riku in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, the Foretellers in Kingdom Hearts Back Cover χ, and King Mickey.

 

The background also appears to be a reference to an item featured in the background of the Kingdom Hearts III trailer shown at E3 2015 shown during the chess game and conversation between Eraqus and Xehanort as young men. You can find an image of this item for reference below.

I wonder what the cover art will look like. Also, did they just put the Sora and Riku models into the same poses the DDD cover had them in? That's kind of weird.

I'll have to see a clearer image before making a legit judgement, but I'm not a huge fan of it tbh.

More than likely 2.8 will have custom artwork like 1.5 & 2.5 had.

It looks great except for the Sora and Riku part. That looks horrible to me. Oh and what's above Aqua's head? I can see some black thingy.

Riku rising up Sora falling down now huh makes sense.

My speculation is that the Final cover for 2.8 will be: Sora, Riku, Aqua, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Vulpeus, Uniconis, Anguis, Ursus, Leopardos, Chirithy and Young Xehanort. 13 Characters.

Added Xehanort. And Donald and Goofy are always mandatory for every HD ReMix package.

This is not going to be the cover art, most of the time the banner is not the cover art, have you seen the Final Fantasy XV banner it's of Notics and his father I don't think that will be the cover art for that game.  As for the picture itself it's alright Just wish it didn't look so dark you can't tell what is behind Aqua or what she is standing on and I can't tell but it looks like the Sora and Riku models are in the style of how 0.2/KH3 is and that's really cool

Thank you for this, Sora'spromise!  This banner looks quite interesting, though it's a bit blurry!  Gahhh, E3 is getting closer with each day!  I can't wait to get more info on 2.8!

Oh God, it's horrible. Looks like it was done by a photoshop amateur.

Here is a better looking of it and it looks a lot better and you can tell what is behind them it looks like the top of the tower in Daybreak Town so that's cool

Despite the quality being better, it's still hard to distinguish. Can somebody take a Medium Close Up picture of it straight so it's clear and not slanted? I know I may be nit-picking in saying that but it's still so hard to distinguish.
