Better not be true. Makes the whole Uncovered event seem meaningless since the whole purpose was to reveal the release date. This game feels like its NEVER gonna release at all 

This one person in the comment section is like: it's false "invalid report". But I guess we'll wait until Square Enix says something.... 

I know that this is all a rumor so I am taking this news with a grain of salt due to the event they had for FF XV but if this does end up becoming true than I will seriously be pissed.The game's been in developement long enough, the last thing we need is a delay for it. Especially after having to wait a decade to finally play this game.

That's pretty stupid of them if it's true. First they give no info for 10 years then make up a huge event to reveal the release date and then have all this promotional material out then go "Not yet". I appreciate that they want to make the best games they can but their development cycles are ridiculous.

No way it's true. They have no choice, they HAVE to release this game on the date they said (Sept. 30). This isn't like other games like Mirror's Edge Catalyst or Uncharted 4. For better or worst, Square has to release the game on time.

they've had PLENTY of time to finish it and polish it. There's no excuse to delay it further anymore. We've been hearing excuses for the past 10 years and im sick and tired of it. i just want the dang game already 

This better just be a rumor, because Final Fantasy XV needs to come out on September 30th!  Because if it comes out in November, when 2.8 comes out, the sales for the game will probably be really low, due to how closely Final Fantasy XV would be to 2.8!  And who knows what this could mean for Kingdom Hearts III? D:

 

I mean, I know that KHIII and FFXV are being handled by different people, but remember, when the games nearest to release are near, all attention and sales numbers go on them, and I really hope this doesn't delay Kingdom Hearts III! D:

I seriously doubt that it's true. They've officially confirmed the September date for a while now. That would be hard to take back, plus why would they need to delay it? I'm sure that the game is finished by now. They're probably getting ready to distribute it now, if it's coming out next month. I call this false until we hear from a more official source.

.... I'd be more pissed if they delayed an annoinced PC version.

False rumor IMO, because if it were delayed, they would've announced it yesterday or day before with the new trailer or the new Florence and The Machine songs. A delay shouldn't be kept in secret, and if they already knew it, they have no reason to keep it in secret more time. We're a month away from the game, and this isn't a No Man's Sky deal, where it was an indie game. We're talking a AAA title here, with huge production costs. Even Uncharted, the main PS4 focus for a time , got delayed for two weeks, yes, but not two whole months, like the report here says. And if it were to be delayed for that long, we should've gotten notice of it during any of the ATR that have happened during the last couple of weeks. 

I heavily doubt this rumour is true.

I mean, why would they delay it by such a small time? 

If they delayed it to fix issues, it wouldn't have been a two months delay only, especially with how modern gaming his with patches and all.

Don't think it will happen. They were pretty sure before the uncovered event.

is it wise for Square Enix to release KH 2.8 so close to a game such as FFXV?

No, I don't think it would be. If it's going for $60 which is how much FFXV is going for people are going to look at "well I could get a brand new game or I could get a game that was on the 3DS a game that is going to be like a demo to KH3 and a movie" most people will go with FFXV. I wouldn't think that way I'm going to get both of them no matter when they release but until the rumor has been proven to be true or not I'm still going with it coming out at the end of September.
