Yeah although here everything is changed almost entirely to make feel like a reboot, white hair Namine and Blue Haired everyone else like what, and heartless that have no resemblance to their original counterparts, no light or dark premise overall a pretty good cloak to disguise itself as a complete reboot but in the end it's revealed to be a sequel, maybe the icing on the cake no Riku and Sora just looks remotely different if not completely

i mean its not out of the question of nomura to do

Ofcourse it won't be, instead of straight making a typical sequel with brand new protagonist that replaces Sora, we get faux AU Sora that actually turns out to be OG Sora all along

Actually no. YOu know what I think would be firetrucking awesome in KH4? The ability to customize your appearance. Not like in Code Vein, but more like Fragmentary Passage. A piece of armor, jewelry, made a different shirt pattern, a change of shoes. Nothing major, but definitely noticable.

They literally switched to UE5 earlier this year

Games take 3-5 years of development

We wated 6 years for the last game

its been 4 years since kingdom hearts 3

how long in development did they get through with the previous engine

True but I'm certain they've been working on this since not long before Melody came out.

Plus if you look at the specs, transferring over from 4 to 5 is super simple they'll lose practically nothing. It's not like 3 with a whole ass engine swap.

Dlc is kinda interesting for kingdom hearts

2024 earliest for my guess, I know it won't take as long as 3, but at the sametime I think next year will be more or less too soon of a release, unless they gauge it on holiday 2023
