I originally didn't like the idea of Xehanort coming back but then I saw that it's young Xehanort and young Xehanort is based and doesn't suck like the old one

I hate that Xehanort is Nomura's favorite character - almost feels like he's the protagonist now not Sora 😔

I hope sora and riku use an updated version of the KH2 limit break

Re Mind absolutely made clear that Xehanort got all his idea from MoM. He pretty much got radicalized

My favorite fan theory is that Xehanort got sent forward in time by MoM and saw the Land of Departure in BBS which explains why he is there as a secret boss

and this was part of his world tour

Xehanort's coming out of his chud arc- he went from a skinhead, literally, but found the power of love with his boyfriend, and now he's the first one at the pride parade.

If we use the numbered games as a comparison, KH1 starts with you trying to find your friends and saving the princesses of hearts which is what you do. Then ends with Riku being lost, and Sora and Kairi splitting off and the next adventure is Sora trying to find them both again. The only other thing it leaves off is in the final mix version with the xemnas secret boss and even that is just a purely optional one. With KH2, despite needing CoM to know context you still have the same goal as where KH1 ended with Sora trying to find his friends again and ends with him actually doing that and reuniting with everyone and then the next adventure begins with the written bottle. Secret ending is leading up to BBS which is where you get those answers. Lingering Will is also purely optional. KH3 on the other hand starts with set up from all the games before that but also the mobile games. Then you get a brand new plotline of this magic box that Maleficent is looking the whole game. Then you end with Sora fucking dying. The mystery box never gets an answer despite having the whole game set up for it. Yozora is introduced for a future plotline and his secret boss is more or less mandatory. Xigbar's whole character changes too but that's more set up for the future. Luxord is another set up with the card. Then the lost masters is another set up with the final scene.
