Sir. Christopher Lee (Ansem the Wise's original voice actor) passes away, aged 93

Sir. Christopher Lee, Ansem the Wise's voice actor in Kingdom Hearts II has sadly passed away today, aged 93.

Sir. Christopher Lee was born on May 27, 1922 in Belgravia, London, England, United Kingdom. He was an actor, singer and author. He was most well known for his roles as Count Dracula in a string of popular Hammer Horror films, Saruman in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and The Hobbit film trilogy, and Count Dooku in the final two films of the Star Wars prequel trilogy.

After he voiced Ansem the Wise/DiZ in Kingdom Hearts II, Corey Burton took over. Corey Burton is known as the audio double for Christopher Lee and took over for him in Star Wars: The Clone Wars as Count Dooku after its feature length film and did so again for Kingdom Hearts having voiced Ansem the Wise/Diz in all titles following Kingdom Hearts II.

The world has sadly lost a legend. R.I.P Sir. Christopher Lee, you will be missed greatly by all.

RIP.

In my opinion, Corey Burton is doing a better job as Ansem the Wise. His voice in the secret ending of BBS and at the end of KH3D is very heart-warming. I love it and I don't want to miss it in KH3.

At least Lee had an audio double that took over for him. Looking on the bright side of things....which I guess isn't the best thing to do.

... Freaking dangit. He was one of my favorite actors, his voice was just utter perfection. :( His performance as Saruman was just amazing, and of course it was awesome to hear him in KH. Sadly, I don't know much about what he was personally like, but I'd like to think he was a pretty cool dude.

Very sad that I won't be seeing him or hearing his amazing voice ever again, he was simply incredible. May he rest in peace.

What a year...

I will remember him from some German movies as he voiced some characters (e.g. King Haggard in the last Unicorn) in my language as well.

I was kinda hoping that he would come back in Kingdom Hearts 3 to voice Ansem the Wise again but I guess that won't happen anymore, he did a good job in everything he did, I saw the Star Wars he was in the Lord of the Ring movies and the Dracula it was an amazing actor and had a great voice and the world will miss him;

It's always so sad when someone passes away. R.I.P Mr. Lee, you shall be missed by all of us. :(

:( R.I.P.....

The feels is just too strong. Just thinking about it, there are so many ties of Xehanort which leads to Apprentice Xehanort  knowing Ansem the Wise. And Ansem knows King Mickey to top all it off.

The one cutscene in Kingdom Hearts 2, King Mickey (Wayne Allwine) speaking with Ansem the Wise (Christopher Lee), and Apprentice Xehanort walks in asking about proceeding with the experiment.
