Also, whenever possible, try and draw out enemies one at a time and fight them 1v1. Mobs will almost always get the better of you.

And actually, I've tried some of those techniques, and they've proved quite useful! Enemies are still tough for me, but at least I can now slay the ones I had a hard time with in the beginning easily. And well, if nothing else, I'll grind for souls to level up my character. X3

BTW, have you been able to recollect your souls after you die? That's actually how you become stronger. You get souls, die somewhere where it's easy to get to, without dying again before collecting your souls, AND the enemies respawn, so although you're weaker than before, you'll be able to rack up souls faster! Just, be sure to buy your level up(s) before you accidentally lose all those souls. Forever.

Oh yes, I have noticed that! Then it's a good thing I've recovered my lost souls!
