Trust me, I used to love it. It's just that it gets old semi-fast. However, I plan to buy the HD remake, so I'm giving it another chance. I'd also like to add that Tidus is a terrible protagonist. He's annoying, obnoxious and his design is terrible. You can see his nickers for goodness sake!
