this was really the only thing that grabbed my interest at the VGAs last night. everything else was surprisingly dull. definitely looking forward to seeing how crazy of a plot this game will have.

i'm shocked there are people who still think this game is coming out in 2017

the entrance better be shaped like a green pipe or else they've screwed up. hell i'd settle for a small acknowledgement. they could totally play the Traverse Town theme in the Magic Kingdom at night in the area with all the shops. it'd fit right in.

the games i was looking forward to got delayed from December into January so right now nothing much. first few months of 2017 are going to be insane for video games though.

wonder if this will break the video game movie curse. i mean i doubt it but let's see, i guess.

getting to know if the combat is actually any good. from what i played in the demo it was iffy, but people said the demo was a poor representation so i'm still here waiting to know. i just want a game with fun combat.

no. now they're going to cancel KH3 to celebrate and take the decade off.

i feel like some would argue MGS has a more complicated story but that's not the point i guess. anyways idk i'd be surprised if KH3 sweeps gaming audiences like some people think it will. it might get a boost in sales thanks to it being a numbered title and being on an actual console. i'm sure many people ignored previous games for being on handhelds and having subtitles. both could be seen as marks of a lesser game in a franchise ( i know that's not always the case with KH handheld games so don't overreact to that statement). i guess it's possible that the Disney worlds will attract new fans. i remember the Disney characters being a big draw for me back when the first KH game was still relatively new. only the difference here is that KH3 has a lot of baggage whereas KH1 didn't. it was a fresh new IP with Disney characters there to catch your eye. it was a unique selling point. "Disney characters in a JRPG? What's this?" with KH3, i feel like it's possible for new players to get turned off from all the plot points they don't know about (which is fair enough considering they're jumping into a series at the 9th entry, like get real people). the series is very story heavy but hey maybe some people will be willing to roll with it so long as the gameplay is top notch. honestly, like i said i'll be surprised if it does as amazingly as some people here think it will. to the casual observer it will most likely come across as just another JRPG with a nonsensical name and a roman numeral attached to it. word of mouth may get around that the combat must be seen to be believed and that could help. other than that, low expectations. i mean of course a KH fansite is going to overblow the response to a game they've been waiting for, for years. what is that? projecting? it's a big deal here in our little bubble but outside that, who knows?

i still can't get over how they yanked the whole "this is just one saga" out of their asses so late into the series. i know it's just an excuse to continue the series but wow that's a hard pill to swallow. i'd rather KH3 have an ending without any kind of suggestion as to what the future games may be about. let it end and give the series a rest for a couple of years. SE need some time to actually plan out the story and know what direction they want to take the series.

nah their chance to add in new content came with the original release of the HD collections. at this point it probably isn't worth the effort for them.

im surprised they felt there was enough demand for an entire theme park based on Avatar. i mean it feels like that ship has long since sailed but ok.

Capcom has sort of done that. i mean if you're talking about cross overs with already existing characters belonging to one studio. Project X Zone is a big cross over series with lots of Capcom characters. if you mean an established franchise crossing over with another established franchse then...i'm not sure. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games?

it's all about that money, sonny! i believe in terms of merchandise it's one of Pixar's biggest and most profitable franchises, so Disney wants that money to keep on rolling in, hence why we're getting two sequels to a movie that was (from what i gathered) generally considered "meh." and idk what this trailer is trying to do. i'm not going to get emotionally attached to these walking advertisements. especially after that weird spy movie starring Larry the Cable Guy.

Ratchet and Clank definitely deserves some recognition this year. It was a great game with fun gameplay, beautiful graphics, and it was only 40 bucks. I place it up there with Bloodborne as one of my favorite games this gen. i had so much fun with the game i played through it three times back to back. the gameplay got more and more enjoyable with each New Game+. here's hoping Insomniac goes back to Ratchet and Clank sometime this gen. the new Ratchet and Clank game proved the series is still going strong and that the core gameplay is just as fun as ever. only issue i had with it was the story, but that was because they made the game and movie tie into one another. i would imagine that if they made a new R&C game without having to consider a movie, the story would be a lot stronger.

yea KH2 is my personal favorite as well. i'm not sure why i don't dig the DDD outfit. i like a red color scheme but for some reason it's just not clicking with me on Sora's DDD outfit. i'm on the fence about the KH3 outfit. i might need to see it more in motion first, but right now i'm just very "meh" on it. for me, the ranking of best to worst goes KH2>KH1>KHDDD>KH3

definitely gonna say Hikari is my favorite version of Simple and Clean. Right behind that is probably the Ray of Hope Mix because of how upbeat it sounds.

but will that stop KH fans from thinking they still might show something for KH3?

60 fps baby i mean i doubt they'll look much better graphically. the graphics of the KH series already really look fantastic in HD. the edges and the colors all just look great. i'm sure they'll look just as well, if not slightly better, on the PS4.

it makes the most sense to play them in the order they were released, because that's more or less the order Nomura wrote them in. playing them in chronological order will most likely confuse you more than playing them in release order will.

(this thread idea was way better than what i was expecting it to be lol) i think the very first time i played KH, i probably died to Gaurd Armor or the Darkside on Destiny Islands. and if not there, Clayton definitely wrecked me no problem.

well heartless have been shown to just pop up in random portals of darkness. and we know portals of darkness have been used to travel to different worlds. so it makes sense to assume the heartless are doing the same thing. plus i think in the games the reason the heartless always beat Sora to a new world is because they were just already there. Sora and co. always arrive late to the party. as for the FFVII designs, i wouldn't put too much thought into it. i think the design choices were based on fan feedback and what would be popular.

KH3 is probably only going to be popular in the KH community. i doubt it'll draw any new fans in and if it does they won't make it past the intro. diving into KH3 as your first KH game is like running head first into a brick wall. if anything, SE ought to heavily market the 1.5+2.5 PS4 collections so people who want to get into the series can know that this new collection will be the best way to go about it.

has that kind of strange and weird feeling to it that i really dig in a show. if it ever became a full series i'd watch it.
