Okay, that's true, but the Unversed - negativity taken shape - flow from him. He may not be pure evil then, but at least he's kind of a downer. And what we have seen from Vanitas does not indicate any good intention whatsoever. He is after all, Master Xehanort's creation, so for someone made of pure darkness to betray his creator (who is also a big fan of darkness himself), it would take one hell of a change of heart. I'm not ruling it out, I'm just saying it's not as likely.

Pretty much agree with you there. I'd like it if Braig had some future role, and I can see him weasel his way out of trouble. I am pretty sure that Vanitas is not gonna make it, with him being evil incarnate and all. To be an anti-hero, you have to be at least 1% good I think, and Vanitas seems more like a guy who eats puppies for breakfast.
