The weird thing is, I heard as a whole that Re:coded is a really fun game gameplay wise (I rented it once when I was younger and did not finish it because I got stuck on a part, so I never finished that one). It's just the story that was weak. Like I would not even mind if it was a stand alone story in the vein of 358/2 days (arguably). It's just a boring story overall. So I find it kinda funny that they included the weakest part in 2.5. It would have been nice to have the gameplay.

I would kinda disagree about needing to play Chain of Memories before Kingdom Hearts 2, cause I played Kingdom Hearts 2 in middle school without playing Chain of Memories OR even Kingdom Hearts 1 and I think I had most of the story down. For Kingdom Hearts 3 though, if someone does care about the story they should probably at the very least do some research and watch some videos if they don't have the time to play all the games, if they don't care that's OK too. I....do have issues with them releasing games that have big important story elements on multiple consoles though and always have. But, it is what it is now and I hope they plan a little more ahead for the next saga.

Then I guess it's a possibility then.

Have they ever had a trailer at gamescom? I'm not expecting one....yet, but just wondering if they ever had a trailer there for past games or whatever.

Well I know they basically said they are gonna announce all the Disney worlds so I'm pretty sure they are gonna be the highlight of the trailers with little hints of the main plot, which is basically what they have been doing. What I would like to see.... Some original world gameplay (though I don't think they are gonna have as many playable as people think there are gonna be, I'm gonna guess 5 at the most, we have only seen gameplay of Twilight Town/Mysterious Tower so far, they could at least show Radiant Garden if they don't want to be too spoilerish) Gameplay of the other playable character(s) (this might be too spoilerish but they could maybe announce how many other playable characters there are gonna be) Big Hero 6 (already confirmed to be showing up next trailer) More summons (cause summons are fun and it's stuff to show that won't spoil anything) I'm actually OK with some surprises but I know others are not, unless they announce everything in the game, I find one or two surprises OK Of course I want to see the remaining Disney worlds even though I probably already know some of them I want to see some boss battles as well, don't need to be the big important ones but some of the smaller ones

I would like a little breather world. And I don't know what else could work other than Hundred Acre Wood.

Oaken :biggrin: . Followed by either Anna or Olaf. Not a huge fan of Elsa or Kristoff, I don't hate them but they just don't do it for me. Hans probably would have been my favorite if the villain reveal was handled better, he seems like a last minute change for me, honestly same with Elsa. Sven and Marshmallow were OK I guess. The Duke was pretty funny and should have got more screen time.

I can completely understand your pain. There are times were I wished I could skip bosses (if this were an option when I was battling Demyx when I was younger I would have gladly taken it since I never got past him until I got older and it was frustrating), but yeah its an RPG so you kinda need to do the bosses. Maybe some could be optional (which they already do with the secret bosses), but the main story bosses are needed. And don't forget you can start with beginner/standard mode if you wanna focus more on story and exploring then being frustrated on bosses. There is nothing wrong with that and nothing wrong with you if you choose to do so. I'm personally playing the game to have fun anyway.

Though a lot of these choices are great movies, I think only a few of them could have great TV series. Depends on if the characters and worlds can be expanded on.

Probably why I always take his word with a grain of salt. He says a lot of things. And sometimes there's a translation issue.

Do you hope Princess and the Frog does not get a world, or Demyx is not a Seeker of Darkness? Or both?

No really big news in over a month. If another trailer comes or big news happens, there will be more activity.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Got to go with the main trio and the one with the most screen time. Though honorable mentions to Sora with Riku and Kairi, Roxas and Axel, and yes I have a soft spot for Sora and Pooh.

Mary Poppins can do all kinds of things, why would she question a anime boy and his two talking animal companions? She would be more used to that then characters like Will Turner, a man who just nodded and accepted that yes this is happening right now, or Jane, a woman with a scientific mind and from a movie where not a lot of magical stuff happens. Like I have not seen the movie but don't they go into a cartoon or something.

I'm pretty sure it's not a world cause I don't the Nomura would have casually mentioned it and talk about how hard it was to come up with a reason for her to show up. So I'm gonna take it she's most likely not in the game whatsoever? But I could be wrong about that. But I would personally be fine with it. The live action movies in KH have always felt off to me but since they are doing it anyways and I'm sure they don't want to continue using only Pirates and Tron, sure, lets see what they could do? :smile: Plus, they have been a little predicable with their Disney worlds so far (other than maybe Pirates returning and Monster's Inc) so it would be nice to see one a little outside the box. I'm more hoping Mary Poppins is a summon or a cameo in a original world cause why not? The series is extremely experimental anyway.

I could see Mary Poppins appearing in a mini game, being a summon, or making a cameo. I have never seen the whole movie (yes, I know I should fix that), so I don't know how a world could work, like could she battle , but who knows? I would just find it amusing if she appeared in a way, shape or form. His favorite world has not yet been revealed? Well, that has me excited! I wonder what it could be? I think that is supposed to be "some original worlds" but I could be mistaken.

Well for one thing Disney owns a major part of the title, do I doubt Square Enix would ditch them. If fact, it's more likely to be the other way around, with Disney ditching Squire Enix considering how things are going since Disney is the bigger company. And I personally would not ditch the Disney part cause that's were a lot of the charm of the series comes from and Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are pretty major characters that appear quite regularly with two of them always in your party. And I would not trade that for anything. It's fine as it is.

Yeah I might have phrased that wrong. I don't think the characters are bad either, just a lot of them are not going to their full potential and they come off as weak because of it. I think BBS is a great example of this for multiple characters (like I don't necessarily hate Terra but I have a lot of issues of how he is written). It looks like to me that they are intertwining the original plot more with the Disney plots at least a little more with this installment. We actually see the main bad guys there instead of just seeing cut scenes of them between worlds. But we shall see how that plays out.

I love this series but I am heavily critical of it at the same time. I am to most of the things that I love. So I really hate the mindset that if you love something you are blind to it's flaws. That's not really healthy. Your comment about most of the characters having a great concept but bad execution made me think about not just Kingdom Hearts but other franchises as well, cause this could be said about a lot of them for at least one character. And some of these characters are fan favorites due to concept alone because fans then fill in the blanks by themselves without it really being in the canon. I really do think the Disney stuff and Final Fantasy stuff should have more of a presence. Disney takes up like 85% of the game so it really should not be filler. Final Fantasy characters could have more of a role too. I feel they could have both complex and interesting original characters with an interesting, not confusing plot while also expanding on the Disney and Final Fantasy side if they set their minds too it. It does seem like KH3 is at least somewhat improving on Disney worlds it seems like Final Fantasy is gonna keep up with just having cameos.

I think I more or less agree with what everyone said. Though I would like to add that I did not particularly like most of the worlds in BBS. All of them were just really empty. Like I know that's been a complaint with like every KH game but for that game it was extremely noticeable. I know it was a hand held game first but come on, there were a lot of worlds that would have been great (like Enchanted Domain, Deep Space) if they were on a mainstream game. DDD had somewhat the same problem too. But yeah Atlantica in KH2 was so weird. I don't think I hate it as much as others but making that world a mini game world was a strange choice and it's just really cringy at times. Like I'm completely fine with mini-game only worlds, like I actually like the 100 acre woods, but it just did not work for Atlantica.

That and now there are new lights of heart and we don't really know what that means. Are there two groups of pure hearts are did the others ones just disappear? Is Kairi now the member of three groups? She must be super busy.

Since someone mentioned Skyward Sword, I actually really liked that game. Sure, it might not be the best but I really liked a lot of aspects about it. Although I don't think there is a Zelda game I particularly hate.

That and there are younger people who can't get all the games cause they don't have the money (yes, children play the game). I think it would be OK for people to just watch videos on Youtube if they want to fully enjoy the experience. I'm still not gonna play the mobile game.

I would have preferred Treasure Planet and I'm not really fond of the live action movies being in Kingdom Hearts in general but whatever I have other worlds to look forward too and hopefully others left to be revealed. The game play for pirates does look pretty fun though. I'm pretty sure for this title they are really going mainstream for their Disney worlds anyway.
