If I wanted to get into Star Wars, should I just watch the movies or do I have to watch the TV show too?
MythrilMagician repliedToo add to that what's the preferred order. There is so much debate over which trilogy to watch first.
Mystics Apprentice repliedI would say watch the movies first. I'm a bit skeptical on the TV series, personally, though I know some who enjoy them.
TheKingdomkid repliedWatch it this way Episode IV, V, II, III, VI. Yes Episode I is missing but in actuality it doesn't really add anything to the series that much besides Jar Jar and Pod Racing, both of which never really show up in anything else You can watch it if you want but seriously watch VI and V first at least
Shulk repliedThey were released in an odd order (IV/V/VI was the original trilogy, then George Lucas made the prequel trilogy, I/II/III), which is probably where all of the order debates come from. Personally, I'd say that if it's your first time watching them, release order is the way to go.
Mystics Apprentice repliedI'd probably agree with Shulk on the movie ordering as well. I watched them in chronological order in the series (I-VI) and I had a hard time accepting the lack of technological advancement in the original series in comparison to the newer.
Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) replied@Mystics Apprentice: Yes, that was my feeling last time I watched them in that order.

When the Bayonetta trailer for Smash started during the event, my sister said that the new character was Lady Gaga, she wasn't too off in my mind!

With the 2.8 trailer being shown at jump festa, do any of you think that they might show the trailer of kh3 from d23 or maybe even a new trailer? For me, I think it could be a possibility but I'm just glad we at least get a new 2.8 trailer. What about you? What are your thoughts on it?
Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) repliedHopefully, we'll see those trailers, and if we do, they'll probably be subbed/dubbed.

Cloud, Kamui/Corrin and Bayonetta Amiibos confirmed....they'll fly like hot cakes out the stores...especially Cloud and Bayonetta....
Shulk repliedI hope they won't sell out that quickly. ._. I mean, doing crazy things to get rare amiibo is nothing new to me, but seeing as how I'm going for Cloud, and my brother wants Corrin, it'd be nice if we could just walk into a store and find them on the shelves.
I still have nightmares from wave 4...catmaster0116 replied@Xiro: My initial thoughts too lol
@Shulk: My friend, preordering is the way to go to absolutely secure yourself one. I don't usually collect Amiibos (I only have like 2) but I really want the 3 new ones (Bayonetta, Cloud and Corrin)
Shulk repliedPre-ordering sadly isn't the best option when it comes to amiibo. In the past, pre-orders haven't lasted very long. I still remember having to get to GameStop an hour after wave 4 pre-orders went up, and even then, all but Ness were all out of pre-orders. I've been collecting the things for a while, they can be really tough to track down, at least where I live. They're getting better, but I heard Shovel Knight's going right back to wave 4 numbers, which is bad.
catmaster0116 repliedOh I'm sorry to hear that
. Umm what about online preordering? I live in Australia so things might be a little different here. I do know however that The amiibos for Pit, adult Link, Shulk and the fire emblem characters were extremely hard to come by due to popularity. Shulk repliedSome retailers don't even do online pre-orders, strangely enough. Those that do might not last long. The last wave lasted a good amount of time, but given the popularity of the DLC characters (And the fact that one's a Fire Emblem character), I get the feeling that these won't turn out as well. Also, all of those but Link were really rare out here for a while, too. Shulk, Marth, and Ike all got good restocks, but a lot of others are still tough to find.
catmaster0116 repliedYeah
~ in any case I really hope you end up getting your hands on the newer amiibos. It might be hard but if you persist you'll eventually get one
Shulk repliedYep, I've been collecting them for a long time now! I started with Kirby back at the wave 1 release, but I kept it at that until wave 3 was released and I picked up Zelda (Wave 2 but I was willing to wait a little for her) and Mega Man. Now I've got a shelf covered with them, and one more I still need to figure out how to fit in.
I was hoping to be done after Smash, but now the Animal Crossing series started... ._.catmaster0116 repliedOh wow that's impressive! Do you have every amiibo released so far?
I only have Pit, Toon link and Shulk so far. I really wanted to get Adult Link but by the time I got into amiibos they were already out.
Shulk repliedNo, I'm not going for the complete set. I have a lot of them, though. I do want to try to see if I can get the entire Mario Party and Animal Crossing series since they look to be a little smaller and I like pretty much every character included in them, although Gold Mario's practically impossible to get.

Those are still pretty good finds if they're as rare as you mentioned they were. Starting out with the rare ones if a good idea.
catmaster0116 repliedMmm!
~ Yeah at first I only knew Amiibos to be compatible with SSB, but after a while many games started being compatible with Amiibos. The Amiibo that my eye is set on atm is Cloud, Bayonetta, Corrin and did you hear about that Midna/TwilightWolf Amiibo?Shulk repliedSmash was the first major amiibo series and the first game to get something big out of amiibo support, so it was honestly the only noteworthy one for a while.
I like that amiibo support's been expanding lately, though. I saw the Wolf Link amiibo, although I'm not sure if I plan on getting it. I wasn't honestly a big fan of Twilight Princess, but it's cool for those who were. I might get it anyway just for the Zelda U features that were mentioned. -

I just hope people don't complain about the Pokemon movie on Saturday, because I don't want to hear complaints about that as well cause I still don't want to put up with the Smash fanbase.

No matter how much you give them,no matter how awesome the characters are,the Smash fanbase will never....EVER....be grateful or satisfied until *insert a name here* from the endless amount of wishlists on the internet make it into the game
Shulk repliedI didn't get any of my top choices, but these characters all look amazing, and all three are really original and unique. Too bad most of the Smash fanbase will curse Sakurai to the grave if they don't get their K. Rool, Ridley, Sora, or anyone else like that. There's nothing to be upset about, we've got 58 characters. There's something for everyone here, and we've got plenty of diversity already.
MythrilMagician repliedSmash fanbase? More like every fanbase. Remember D23 and the KH3 trailer rumour? That sparked up a storm and Square nor Disney ever said that they will release the trailer.
@Shulk Shantae, Shovel Knight and apparently even Shrek. The list goes on.
MythrilMagician replied@Shulk I'd prefer Goku over Shrek. Plus he has a better than chance than the latter.
MythrilMagician replied@Shulk He didn't originate from a video game, but he did appear in some. That's reason enough. For me anyway.

So that Smash announcement was something, right.
MythrilMagician repliedThe Smash community is something. Apparent;y everyone is butthurt about Bayonetta's win.
AzureBeats repliedI couldn't care less about them being so salty about Baeyonetta. Sure it's disappointing when you don't get your character in Smash but there's not much you can do about it. Still hype about Bayo though, not so much for Corrin.
AzureBeats repliedIt's weird though cause I actually don't own Smash... YET. Plan on getting real soon.

Now that I am over my earlier disappointment, I'm somewhat excited for Bayonetta being in Smash Bros, despite not being a fan of the series.

Cloud's actually really cool. He'll probably become one of my mains. Won't beat out Shulk, though.
Shulk repliedThey do feel similar in terms of weight and speed, although their combat styles are both pretty different. I like both of them a lot, though. Limit Breaks and Monado Arts are really fun to experiment with.
I'll have to get used to not trying to use counters with Cloud though, since Shulk and Lucina, the two sword fighters I use all that often, both use counters.
Shulk repliedYeah, he has a really weird moveset for a sword fighter. Just goes to show that they're not all super-similar like a lot of people think they are. I haven't spent a whole lot of time with him yet, but I'm hoping I'll adjust soon. I like him a lot, but I'm not doing well in battles.
Shulk repliedI can definitely see him becoming one of my favorite characters, he'll just take a lot of practice.
I love how different all of the DLC newcomers have been so far. Ryu and Cloud have a ton of new mechanics, and it looks like Corrin and Bayonetta will bring a lot of new concepts to the game, too.Trece the Xam ( ▀ ͜͞ʖ▀) repliedI agree with your status, Shulk, it seems like we think the same way when it comes to Shulk
(except that my main will always be Ike) -
Once again, Sky: didn't even realize that you changed your name. Man, I suck at keeping track of these things. lol

I hope I'm wrong but I have this nagging feeling inside that Kingdom Hearts III will be released in Japan first....

I am calling this now!: If there is another Smash Bros game and it is not on the 3DS but on a new system that can handle this character, I am willing to bet that the Ice Climbers will come back! The only reason why they aren't in Smash 4 is because of the 3DS, so they could be in the next game if it's not on the 3DS!
MythrilMagician repliedSo far there has been only one Smash Bros game on every console since the 64 (minus the original DS and Game Boys, of course), so like I said earlier, next Smash will be on the NX. Don't know about Ice Climbers though, since we didn't even get them as an assist trophy.
WakingDawn96 repliedWell the only reason why they were cut from the game was because of the 3DS limits being too small to handle them. I think they are a shoe in to come back as next console gens could probably handle them more, and there are Ice Climber enemies in Smash 3DS!

(not directed at anyone on here) I can understand why people might be a bit disappointed that their favorite character didn't get into Smash, but the amount of harsh words and enraged fanboys is really getting on my nerves. Whether you like the character or not, don't go out of your way to trash Sakurai and his team. They worked really hard on that game.
