    so just asking to all of the people that dislike dlc, how is nintendo's dlc any better? it looks like the same thing to me. but i want to hear what you guys have to say. why is it different?

    I personally feel that, for the most part, it's more content for a fairer price. I don't play a whole lot of games with DLC, although for a few examples, Dissidia and the Ninja Storm games really just have costume packs that are a few dollars (UNS3 had one costume that was $3...). On the other hand, Nintendo offers another 16 tracks for Mario Kart 8 for just $12, and New Super Luigi U is an entirely new game for $20.

    yeah, but theres also the smash bros costume pack for 6 dollars. (10 if you want both versions). but they do have more content for a better price i guess. i have nothing against what there doing cus i still feel that the games are worth the money as is, but ive seen people get mad at companies for doing the same thing nintendo is with dlc. as if giving them a free pass. i was hoping to find out why, or if it was just fanboyism. lol sry. i rambled xD

    Oh, don't get me wrong, the Smash costume pack is definitely overpriced. I'm only getting the Dunban one because the whole thing is so expensive. I don't think the characters are really at an unfair price, though. I'll definitely acknowledge that some Nintendo games haven't handled DLC well (I haven't used Fire Emblem Awakening's DLC, but isn't it something like $2 for just one extra mission or something crazy like that?).     No problem! I think it's safe to say that DLC is always a sort of hit or miss thing. Some games handle it well, others don't. All that's certain is that DLC's something that the industry's probably going to stick with, whether us gamers like it or not. :/

    yeah. true. but i also understand the companies. games are becoming more and more expensive to make and i can see why a single 60 dollar software sale wouldent live up to what they wanted as opposed to in the NES and SNES days where games were a lot cheaper to make (and im not sure about this but i think they generated more profit as well) so i guess comanies use dlc as a way to get that extra money to justify development. (seriously. destiny had a budget of 500 million dollars xD i can see w...

    why single software sales alone wouldent justify 500 million dollars) but it does came with the displeasure of the gamer. but perhaps its a necessary evil if we want games to evolve technologically. thats my 2 cents anyway xD

    Yeah, that could be it. I just wish that some more games would try to make the DLC worth buying. I'll admit to having bought a few costume packs in fighting games, but I'd prefer something like what Mario Kart or Pikmin 3 does, where the DLC adds in a lot more content for a fair price. That's the type of DLC I'll gladly play.

    EA alone made me not interested. I don't play their games, but I've heard about how they've ruined a lot of other franchises. The fact that they own the sole right to make Star Wars games now (Well, I guess Disney does too) bothers me. Good thing almost all of the old Star Wars games are cheap on Steam.

     

    I just need to finish BF2's campaign. ._.

    They've published some good ones, but I've heard much more bad than good.

     

    I guess it's possible. I just didn't have high hopes for this one, honestly. The only thing it has over BF2 at this point is online play, since the THQ shut-down means BF2's servers are offline.

    That's also got me concerned. Also, wasn't there a recent Battlefield game that was really, REALLY buggy? I'm worried the new Battlefront could end up the same way, too.

    And that's what I'm most worried about. :/ Oh well, I have BF2 anyway, and I can set up a server if I ever want to play online. If BF3 ends up being good, I might get it. Otherwise, I'm ignoring it.
