I just found out you have to pay to take AP exams, what kind of bs is this?

My school district had a refund policy where if you made a 3 or higher you got your money back, but I don't know if that's the norm or not.
Shana09 repliedI heard its like so difficult to pass it. Its a 100 multiple choices (granted, questions you don't answer don't count) and 3 essays in a three hour time.
That's like regents on steroids.
Your school district is actually compromising, ours is just a money grab school. We have to pay for everything.

Lalalablah repliedAlso the exams are easy to pass don't worry, there's a score calculator online that can show you how many points you can miss from multiple choice and the essay portion to pass. Like for my AP Stat exam you only had to get 20 multiple choice right and 1 point from each FRQ to get the minimum passing score
Shana09 repliedI'm not taking them right now, but I might've if they transferred me correctly into this school. I was supposed to be in honors and AP but they messed me up and put me in normal. I might go into next year honor or AP classes though. I have friends who took them and they all are going insane and since I wanted to get into those classes its making me think twice.

But seriously, I don't know what went with my school and the ap, because my mom took care of everything for me when I was having to do all of this, and my mom works at the school I went to so it was an easy ride on not having to worry about things

You're extremely lucky then, I would turn to my brother for help on AP exams but he finds everything and every test easy and doesn't really try to help me other than calm down. Regents is gonna be my worst fear this year since my teachers can't teach, I'm going to probably pass Global, borderline pass Geometry, and probably fail Chem.

Also take practice exams online because Regents recyles some questions from previous exams (just like ap) plus you'll be familiar with the way certain questions are worded so you'll know exactly what to do
