Figured out that my school system is violating State Law by not letting me take a course...wowwwwww. They are trying to get my dad to pay for it and technically the school is REQUIRED BY LAW to pay for the class.

I would assume this is true for the former, depending on your state, but the latter is a LOT harder to refute.
Lady Aleister repliedIt's a public school. They are required to let me enter the course and have to pay for the course as long as I am enrolled.

Seeing people talk about Final Fantasy does admittedly make me miss back when I could be excited about the series... At least there are still XIV expansions to look forward to, I guess.
BlankShell repliedI actually normally don't get excited about FF games, but for this one I figure... why the hell not? I always like playing the games, the demos have been good, etc. No reason not to be excited to play this one.
Shulk repliedI used to play anything Final Fantasy, but as I got older, I realized that the older games (Namely I-VII) are more my style. The new games just don't have anything appealing to me, with the exception of XIV, which feels a lot like my personal favorite games in the series in terms of setting and tone. Seems like Square's dead-set on sticking with the new formula for non-MMO games though, so I'm out of luck.
BlankShell repliedEvery so often I feel the same way, but there's so many things holding the other games back (as in, technical limitations) that it's easier for me to be into newer games. Not that turn based sprawling stories aren't fun, but it requires a heavier investment that I can't always pay. But I also didn't play XIII, so I might be in for a wild ride =P.
Shulk repliedTechnical limitations don't bother me much personally, I've actually been getting more into retro gaming as I've gotten older.
I can see how it could be an issue for others in some cases, though (As much as I personally love the NES version of FFI, I still have to let people know the GBA/PSP versions might be the better choice for them given how archaic the NES version can be). As for XIII, I also skipped on that one, so can't say much there.Shulk repliedUh... the International release of SNES actually cut some commands and a little gag area, so if that's something you care about, keep that in mind. DS version has higher encounter rate and is a lot more difficult (Western SNES version is basically Easy Mode), but it does add some new features as well. If you have a PSP I'd say get that version (I guess it's also just a remaster of the GBA version so that works too), but otherwise, up to whether you're okay with trading more co...

It has a new backstory scene, fully remade in 3D with a couple voice acted scenes (not really the best voice acting all the time from what I remember, though), and a system that lets you get new abilities/commands on your characters. It was cool, although I sold my copy... maybe i should pick up another one at some point since it's not that expensive.Shulk repliedAlright, it's a pretty good option if those are the available systems you have. The SNES version is available on Wii VC also, but if you don't always have access to that, then yeah, I'd say go for the DS version. And yeah, it was a really good conversion to 3D. I still really like the old-school 2D sprites, but I won't deny that they did a great job with the remake as well.

Finally about to start FFXV... but should I watch Kingsglaive or Brotherhood first??
