A Kingdom Hearts 15th Anniversary Box was revealed on the Square Enix Japan e-Store, exclusively available for fans who preorder Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX. This box features the cover artwork pieces for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. The box is intended to store players' copies of KH2.8, as well as the upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, set to be released in March.

 

In his most recent interview with Famitsu Weekly, series director Tetsuya Nomura discussed plans to release a commemorative box for fans to store the games in, providing a special treat to collectors.

 

This box will be available in limited quantities, and it is not currently known if an identical or similar product will be available in other regions.

the worst part about the SE store in Japan is that it also only takes Japanese credit cards. So even foreigners can't just go ahead and buy from the SE JP store... arghh its so nice...

Brace yourselves the "#SquareBeFair" people are already coming out. This thing just got announced people need to slow the firetruck down with the square be fair thing. I'm sure the rest of the world will get this or something similar to this if people just wait a few days instead of yipping like a bunch of Chihuahuas to Square NA to bring this over. Like people calm down it's also the weekend so they probably won't announce anything until sometime next week. Just remember Japan is getting the Kingdom Hearts ReMix collection first and the rest of the world will get it around 20 days afterward so if they don't announce something by then then people can complain for now just wait. Also it's just a box to hold the cases of the collection and 2.8 you're not getting 2.8 with this pre-order

^ Theres a reason why that hashtag exists lol even on the CE for 1.5 and 2.5 last time on PS3, imo Japan still got the waaaay better end of the stick. They pretty much get it like 90% of the time lol. Imo the uproar here is more of a better-safe-than-sorry approach lol. But I think this is also a sign that people worldwide are interested in that kind of stuff too, not just within Japan.

 

I'm just surprised that KH, being a partnership between SE and Disney, wouldn't decide to release these games and information on them worldwide simultaneously given how world renown Disney is. I'm sure theres a reason for the staggered release dates but from a consumer's standpoint, it just doesnt make sense...

Yeah, I checked the prices with that, it's cheaper to get it from Nin-Nin-Games actually for anyone looking to get the Square Enix JP Edition with the box container.

 

It's priced at $69.62 USD approx. on Nin-Nin plus shipping, if you get Economy, will probably end up around $85 to anywhere in North America, which is cheaper than the quoted price on White Rabbit Express already, before shipping.

So it´s a box? No big deal. But the whole #squarebefair for a storage box ugh...

Ooh, this is cool! I'm loving how that box looks, and I remember Nomura having mentioned that he'd plan a box to store all the compilation KH games in one package! I think it's pretty darn badass! I hope we get that box over here too!
