Why isn't any shoot-em-up's like R-Type, Gradius or Darius not on the list? R-Type is an amazingly trippy franchise! Xenosaga is also based in space and that's a PS2 gem!

Only ones I played from that list are Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2

As much I just like Star Ocean, and Star Fox-story reasons, I prefer Phantasy Star Online the series, because that game rocks!

I like mass Effect because it reminds me so much of early space comics from the 50s.

Dead space because its just such a unique Idea

My all time classic is particular Star Wars Battlefront 2. I also want to mention Transformers War and Fall of Cynertron. Such fun games

I like Super Mario Galaxy the best but that may be because I haven't played a lot of the series listed. I love Star Fox but they aren't as good as the SMG games.

Not exactly, it's heavly influenced by Alien and The Thing, but it does get my vote from the ones listed, best one by a mile, well, the first 2 at least...

I played a lot of Battlefront and Battlefront 2 as a kid. Both were great space battle simulators, and even great on-foot battle simulators too (although I think almost every time I tried using a spaceship, I'd crash because I sucked at using the driving controls ). I'd include the new Battlefront in there too but... you know.

 

Destroy All Humans! is more of an "alien invaders" type franchise, but it sort of counts, and I played both that and DAH2 a lot as a kid too.

Really, R&C is like my favorite Playstation franchise of all time. Every game is a great balance between platforming, shooting and off and on spaceship flights. Love it so much/

Super Mario Galaxy is the only one I've played.

Star Wars Battlefront! I really like it! + the Death Star DLC. It's so cool!

Please, Star Ocean of course.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 forever!

Star War Battlefront 2 , Rogue Galaxy ,Ratchet and Clank ,Darius  (just a few I can think of)

I can't choose between Super Mario Galaxy or Star Wars Battlefront II, both are incredible games... I'd say Xenosaga but I haven't played enough of it to say much about it.

Metroid,I love the exploration and the atmosphere of the Metroid games.Samus is a badass bounty hunter killing all sorts of monsters and destroying planets,its great

Ratchet and clank

Star Wars is probably my favorite thing aside from kingdom hearts so Star Wars Battlefront. Especially the old ones.

Star wars for the win! Also Mario galaxy, I guarantee after super Mario odyssey they're going to make Mario Galaxy 3 for switch

Now that you've added Xenosaga, I've chosen Xenosaga because it's a very philosophical game.

Halo. It's the only one I've played.

I like Star Wars Battlefront and Mass Effect equally.  I played a ton of the original two Battlefront games, and have the newest DICE incarnation now.  Mass Effect is a terrific series for any sci-fi fan.  I have played the entire Mass Effect series 3 times and can't wait to dive back in on Tuesday.  

I said Metroid but like, meaning no disrespect to Phantasy Star and Star Ocean.

Galaga was a good game. Technically, it was a series, BUT I like the first one.
