Alright, so I'm psyched! Because the Anime that got me into Anime, is getting a fourth season after about four years. This Anime is Zero no Tsukaima, or Familiar of Zero. It had a season per year from 2006 to 2008, and according to my not too reliable resource, the first episode of the fourth and final season will air on January 7th, 2012. Now I've known about the fourth season for a while, and knew it would be sometime soon, but I never knew it would be this soon. This is the anime that I can watch over and over and not have a problem with. So hearing the fourth season and new episodes coming out is a big deal for me.

 

So to celebrate this, I've decided to ask everyone what Anime made you start loving anime?

Pokemon.

Hmmm, I believe my verry first anime was Sailor Moon, followed my Hamtarro and so on

well my first anime was Pokemon, Naruto was the first where I was conscious of the term "Anime". Zero no Tsukaima was the one that made me go, "Anime seems fun" and I went from there.

Black Butler. I watched Sailor Moon and Pokemon as a kid, but as I got older I stopped watching anime. Then, I watched Black Butler and I got back into it. I love that anime. After that Soul Eater really did it for me. Then Serial Experiments Lain, Bleach, Angel Beats and now Im starting to get into Pandora Hearts

Reflecting, I started with Sailor Moon before I knew what anime was. Then Zoids, Pokemon, I miss Hamtaro... Cardcaptors...

 

But then Evangelion and FMA really got me into the anime world.

same here these were the shows that got me hooked

im really only into anime movies, which is weird i guess. i never really ot into any series, except pokemon. oh and FLCL. that shit is cash.

 

some of my favorites are Spirited away, spirited away, spirited away, the girl who leapt through time, 5cm per second, summer wars, kiki's delivery service, any ghibli film really (especially miyazaki), metropolis, ghost in the shell, etc etc

 

but really can we talk about how amazing miyazaki is. truly on of the great filmmakers of any genre of all time.

I'm not sure which Anime it was that got me into Anime, but the Animes that I did watch when I was first introduced to them were Pokemon, Naruto, One Piece, Zatch Bell, Bo-bobo Bo-bo Bobobo*however the hell it's said*

POKEMON! Plus the fact that I was young and my older cousin was already into anime.

Naruto.

Good times. Outgrew the whole watching anime phase at the end of high school though....never feel like watching any. 8c

 

[edit] Actually, now that I remember, I still have been watching a nice handfull of yaoi ova's this year _{*oh so yummy*}, would those still count as anime?

Ruroni Kenshin Definitely.To add, Gundam Wing, G Gundam(The best),Yu Yu hakusho,Inuyasha,Cowboy Bebop, Big O, Zoids,Zoids:Chaotic Century,Dragonball GT,FMA,FMA:Brotherhood, and especially Trigun!!!

Unico the Unicorn I saw when I was 2 Pokemon got me into anime Though, I hardly ever watch anime anymore. I'll read manga and watch a drama every so often, but my lately I've been into light novels. Yu Wo's "Legend of Sun Knight" and "Eclipse Hunter", and also "Durarara", "No.6", and "Sword Art Online" I've been reading. I think this summer, I will try and find another one to order from Japan ^^

Hm.. for me probably Darker Than Black and Soul Eater... A long time ago I watched some Naruto and Pokemon but tried not to get into it.

First animes were like FLCL and Pokemon

Pokemon and Digimon I guess- I didn't really know what anime was till I was about 12 ^^; but what really got me into anime was Naruto (i'm not as crazy about it anymore) ah, but Full Metal Alchemist sealed the deal with me and anime! I would have to say Pokemon and Naruto. Pokemon I've loved it since the beginning. And when I started wtahcing the first Series of Naruto,I couldn't stop. I would stay up later and later to watch the anime that would come on on late saturday nights. And so I saw Bleach and so on and so on.

The only animes I watch now is Naruto Shippuden, since Dragon Ball Z doesn't appear on TV.

But I was never a big anime guy.

although I watched Pokemon and Sailor Moon when I was little, the one that really got me into anime was Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni.
