Not at all, though a majority of the games I play have guys as the main characters, it doesn't bother me a bit, I like the character for the character their gender doesn't matter to me  :P

Not at all. σωσ

nope. It doesn't affect it.

I think about it, but I don't really care essentially.

I don't really care about the gender at all. As long as they are interesting or have personality I am fine then.

I don't care at all. I enjoy playing as both male and female. ^^

Being able to play as Aqua in BBS >8D

If there's a choice then I'll pick female, but I'm OK either way.

Nope, not really, I'd rather play as a female though

i wouldn't know i don't play cooking ma it used too when i was younger

No difference at all. But I usually pick males if I have the option.

It's not like I won't buy a game because you have to be a female character...

It doesn't matter about gender, just about the info on th e character. If the character has an awesome story than I love them.

Nope.

So I'm not the only one  who does that xD

I guess so

its weird it matters to my friends but not me like for the new tomb raider reboot my friends were like its weird playing as a girl im not gunna play it but i was like first off its lara croft and it looks badda**

Nope as long as their strong it's good.  :D

I guess i'm sexist, I find it hard to play females I think they are SO BA, but I I just can't play as one. eh, maybe I will try one. can hate something if I never tried it.

Aqua was kinda cool.

When I was younger it did.

Now it doesn't :P

Fool. I prefer neither. A genderless character is always best.

'Maybe a little, but it's never been the deciding factor.'

Obviously I'm fine with playing the opposite gender in things like Kingdom Hearts, because the character isn't SUPPOSED to be you.

But when it comes down to things like Pokémon, Kingdom Hearts, Runescape, general games where you can name and customise the character's life... I hate being a guy most of the time in those. Because then it's not me. Especially those ones (like Persona 4) where you build up relationships with people.

... Yet you have to be a guy. It's crap when games force you to be one gender over another.

I usually play as a male if the gender is selectable, but I don't mind playing as a woman. If the game has a woman as the main character, I'll play. If a game has selectable genders and the chick is total freaking badass most likely I will play as her xD (I love badass chicks)

Absolutely not ^^ As long as they can kick butt I'm good.

Wasn't this already a poll a while ago? but nope, not really, but if there is a girl, its more special. but i don't care either way.

I used to. Now, I don't really care. Still makes me wonder why I cared so much when I was little. Now, I just play and enjoy the game.
