Which game have the best soundtrack ?

Posted

Pretty much every game have a soundtrack but which one is the best ? I would say Jet Set Radio Future because I'm was addicted to this game when I was a little kid. Then I started looking for the songs and just can't get enough of it :D

Uhh I'm gonna go ahead and answer without ANY bias at all:

Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts, and oh yeah, Kingdom Hearts.

Actually, Fire Emblem could best Kingdom Hearts in terms of their OSTs. I'll just call it a tie; too lazy to compare and determine.

This one made bagpipes sound epic, huh?

Bayonetta. No questions asked. Though, Kingdom Hearts makes a nice second.

Never played it, although the songs sound good.

And both of you keep in mind that "the best" is subjective. To some, Call of Duty could have "the best" soundtrack.

The Wii version of Chocobo's Dungeon. Not only does it just have a ballin' OST on its own, but 98% of its content is remixes from the main series of Final Fantasy games. So it has that nostalgia factor in it. :V

Advance Wars.  Almost no question for me.

Skyrim. The epic theme and the world theme are amazing.Either that or Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Awesome score without the radio, but the oldies music is great as well.

I'd have to say Ocarina of Time, if only because of the sheer amount of nostalgia it carries for me.

Ditto that. :D

I just barely discovered the Journey soundtrack a few weeks back, and have been listening to Apotheosis almost nonstop ever since.  :3

We really can't compare Video Game OSTs with other Video Game OSTs, it's almost like comparing a stale bread with a chocolate chipped cookie.

People like different genres of music.

For example, one person can love orchestraded music, and so loves Kingdom Hearts's OST. But another person can love rock music, and so loves Sonic Adventure's OST (and other 3D Sonic games as well)

So it really depends on a person's opinion, there's not a video game that has "the" best OST there is.

The Sonic the Hedgehog and Final Fantasy series has the best soundtracks, they always manage to make awesome music in every single games from their first game to these days.

too much to decide

The World Ends With You-I listening allways

Kingdom Hearts of course!

That's a tough question. Usually when I consider video game music, I think of some of the best songs I've ever heard, regardless of the game, as opposed to comparing different game soundtracks to one another. However, KH2 probably has the best overall soundtrack I've ever heard.

Kingdom Hearts is one of the best soundtracks. I won't post any samples because you all know how it sounds.

In no order, here are some samples from really great soundtracks, the name of the sample is in Parenthesis.  The samples were picked because either A. They were my favorite track from the soundtrack or B. I feel it represents the whole game the best.

- Shadow of the Collossus (The Opened Way).

- Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War (Imperial Guard Theme)

- Assassin's Creed 2 (Ezio's Family)

- Heavy Rain (Ethan Mars Theme)

- Team Fortress 2 (MEDIC!)

-Destroy All Humans! 2 (Tunguska Hunted)

- Company of Heroes (England's Knockin')

- Call of Duty World at War (Russian Theme)

- Halo (Halo Theme: Mjolnir Mix)

- Battlefield 2142 (Battlefield 2142 Theme)

- EVE Online (Caldari Rock)

- Portal 2 (Reconstructing Science)

I have a lot more, there are so many games with amazing soundtracks that it's really hard to list them all. These are just the ones that really stand out from my experience.
