What are the games of your childhood?

Posted

I play games since I can remember... and there are games that marked me since I was kid.

Both of my parents worked in a school, in holidays I used to go there because I couldn't be alone all by myself and to keep me busy, my dad gave me a couple of games to play on a random PC. The majority of those games were TOMB RAIDER and HARRY POTTER (I - III).

OMG! I loved it so much! I used to play all of the six Tomb Raiders everyday, my favorite was and still is "The Angel of Darkness (2003)". That game has an amazing storyline and awesome graphics for that time... a shame that it was considered as the worst game of the year because... the company that made the game, Core Design, was forced to rush up the game because they were already working on it for 3 years. The game came out full of bugs and the controls were very hard to deal with.

Well, but I don't give a feather about it, anyway. I love that game and I will always do! And since Square Enix is now the new owner of the TOMB RAIDER series, me and many fans hope that one day... 'The Angel of Darkness' gets a remake.

The other game that I used to play as well was Harry Potter, so much magic and fun! God... I loved these. xD Specially the third one... Because of the Dementors!

Other games that were also a big part of my childhood were 'The Sims 2', 'Kingdom Hearts', and "Crash Bandicoot".

And what about you?...

P.S: If you wanna know more about TOMB RAIDER, ask me... 'cause I know everything about it! xD

Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, SSX, Rayman, Crash Bandicoot, and Kingdom Hearts. Good memories.

Kingdom Hearts.

Final Fantasy.

The Legend of Zelda.

Sonic the Hedgehog.

Star Fox.

Mario.

Pokemon.

Street Fighter.

and Donkey Kong, these will be the only ones i'll mention for now :].

The original Super Mario Bros. and Dr. Mario for the NES. Very first game I ever played. I must have been about five, give or take. After that, probably Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis.

And for the original Gameboy: Pokemon Red and Blue, Wario Land, and Kirby's Dream Land 2.

...I feel old.

Most of the games I played in my childhood were the Super Mario games for the Game Boy Advance, and the excellent Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga RPG.  I really loved that game, and I still have it!  I also played Pokemon because my neighbor Dennys introduced me to the series, and I got really addicted to it.  I also remember playing the Spider Man games. (1,2,3 and Ultimate Spider Man).  And I remember Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex, which I beat again about a month ago.  And most of all, the greatest gaming masterpiece, Kingdom Hearts, came to my hands.  In 2006, I played Kingdom Hearts 2, and so my quest to collect them all began. O_O

P.S: For those who don't know, I got mind blown when I played Kingdom Hearts 2 back in 2006.  Henceforth it has been and always will be my favorite video game series of all time. :D

Spyro the Dragon was the first video game I ever gotten when my parents bought us a PS2 and I think Crash Bash we also given to us those are like the early games I can think of I think we also had game boys and had frogger on it so yeah thats about it I think lol

All for pc. These were my first videogame exposures. Descent scared me, but also introduced me to the concept of aliens, which is awesome. I was probably only 3.

As for the games that I consider to be my childhood...

a game about a boy called Ronnie in a strawberry country,

Captain Bluebear,

and games based on a german television show for children teaching them something useful called Löwenzahn.

I might've forgotten something, though.

My sisters and I got our first console a couple of years later when I was in middle school. And I got to play some final fantasy and Kingdom Hearts! :D

I missed out on a lot of great games unfortunately. My parents wanted to prevent us from becoming real gamers, only playing video games and they didn't want us to turn out like that.

Well, I didn't really work since only one of my sisters doesn't really play a lot of video games. My other sister and I both play a lot. :P

Hmm...

My very first game is Super Mario Bros. for Gameboy Color (first gaming system- Gameboy Color Green)

then Pokemon yellow (gave up for 2 years after I couldn't defeat Brock, then I gotten smarter and defeated brock with Mankey)

Playstation 1- first console system

Crash Team Racing and Bust-a-move 1999 edition (That's a game where you pop bubbles with machine)

Toy story 2- awesome adventure game for my childhood. I gave up when I couldn't defeat the slime monster, took me a year or two to get back into the game and beat that monster.

From there it went to

Spyro series, crash bandicoot series (I'm missing the first one), speed punks (awesome game), sonic the hedgehog series (on PC of course), all pokemon generations, NFS games. Walt Disney's Magical Racing Tour (been my one of my fav racing games)

I wouldn't consider KH my childhood game series because I got into it around summer of 2009, when I'm entering High School.

Funny thing, for the first few years, I never understood the concept of Memory cards until I want to actually save my progress, heck I kept the game on for 24 hours just not to lose my progress. Also a funny thing in childhood... Each time a complete a race in CTR, I shut down the PS1 and turn it back on.... I dont know why i did that. That is my biggest mystery ever....

I list more, but I'm too tired to type anymore. Crap, now i feel too much nostalgic.

My were mostly computer games like Putt-putt, Pajama Sam, Spy Fox and Zoombinis.  I could throw Pokemon in too, but I was never really good at it.

Golden Axe II, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, and Pokemon FireRed were my childhood. xD

When I was a little older, Smash Bros Melee, Mario Kart Double Dash, and the rest of the Pokemon games were added to that as well.

On N64 and SNES:Zelda

Mario

Super Smash bros

Donkey Kong

Pokemon

and a bunch of other title in those consoles.
