I don't think namine should get a keyblade

Posted

Don't get me wrong I like namine,

But her getting a keyblade just doesn't sit with me. at all. yea sure kairi has a keyblade and by normura logic the wielders nobodies can have one too.

But I can't see namine fighting, and I don't want her to fight either,

and nami being a kairi drive form or like her wrecking shit when kairi is ko'ed

(Ok I'll admit I have a so-so feeling with that.)

But anyway I personally hope she doesn't get one.

I agree with Flaming Lea, She should use the keyblade along with her other powers.

I actually think she should use a keyblade. I mean, a lot of the main characters, even lea now, have one. She's left out. She needs a way to defend herself.

I always thought Yen Sid was just lazy

In theory yes she should have one but that doesn't mean it will end up being her main method of fighting since she has other interesting powers to put to use as well. It's hard to say since her existence itself is an anomoly. Maybe she'll end up using her powers plus a keyblade when needed.

Dude, can we just have you be the guy who explains everything? I go into these threads ready to combat someone or express my opinion, but I always see you and you explain it better than I can.

She could be like Yen Sid and just not use it.

Yea I see her taking a Yen Sid approach and just being an adviser or something...though her using a keyblade would be nice.

I'm sure she has other weird superpowers...Remember when knocked out Repliku with her abilities. She has other ways to defend herself. I honestly don't want her to have a keyblade either. And I don't think she will. Xemnas doesn't use a keyblade, why should she?

Awww Thanks !  I am a girl though xD

Xemnas prolly could but chose not to for reasons- as stated by Nomura ( he had a lot to hide as we see in DDD which gave him reasons)

I'm kinda hoping she doesn't get one since I'd like there to be more important characters who can make significant contributions without the keyblade.  I excuse Kairi and Lea getting keyblades since Kairi's status as a Princess of Heart hasn't been utilized since KH1, so it's hard for her to be important otherwise; and I think Lea proved he earned it.  I think Namine's powers are potent enough as it is.  She's able to manipulate the memories of Sora and those connected to him--and since a metric crapton of people are connected to Sora due to his Friendship Freak status, she's practically a god already.  She doesn't need a keyblade to be important.  And that's coming from someone who gets annoyed when people complain there are too many keyblade wielders.

This thread randomly made me think of this. Just look at those hips.

As a matter of fact, those hips do not lie.

Kairi didn't "get" the Keyblade until after she was turned into a Heart, so Namine wasn't the "Nobody" of a Keyblade Wielder when she was born. It's still possible for her to be one, but since she has no sub-conscious memories of being a Keyblade Wielder it would be more difficult than, say, Roxas, to become one.Everyone can have a keyblade, so its not really that special. I don't think she should have one as there's enough Keyblade Wielders as is.

I don't think she should have one either. I think she should use her power of manipulation for good to help defeat the 13 darknesses. In KH2, Namine tells Roxas that she doesn't even know if there is a right way for her to use her powers. But, maybe in KH3 she can discover what good lies beyond her powers to defeat the darkness. That would be awesome! (:

Last time I checked she was inside Kairi who can barley use one herself.

hmmmm i don't really know, I guess I'd rather she didn't get one and just used her powers but if she got one I wouldn't mind :P

The keyblade chooses it's wielder -.- not the other way :P not everyone can have one, only if the keyblade deems you worthy :)

True, but she's had the ability since she was 4, when Aqua's Keyblade acknowledged her as worthy, she simply has yet to summon it herself.

Well techically Namine was born from Kairi's heart but Sora's body and soul - both of whom are wielders . Secondly- Kairi accidently got the ceremony years before in BBS so technically she always had that ability inside her waiting to come out . Namine's existence defies the definition of a nobody yet is the very definition of one- She shouldn't actually exist . So really there is really a lot of possibilties when it comes to Namine..

In order to get a keyblade you normally need the ceremony, a strong heart ,then the keyblade judges if you are worthy and then picks you if you qualify.

I still don't like the idea that you can accidentally get a ceremony performed... I know it's canon but I still don't like it. Because Captain Jack Sparrow.

Xion is another anomaly when it comes to Keyblade inheritance. Her simply having Sora's memories was enough to turn her into a Keyblade Wielder? A bit odd. She probably had a piece of Xehanort's heart in her which helped the process of her getting a keyblade, though.

Namine probably could have become a keyblade wielder but, like Kairi, she would need a Keyblade to be handed to her again. The lack of memories they have about keyblades probably limits their ability to summon them from thin air, like Roxas when he was in Digital Twilight Town.

Well the keyblade disappeared from Jack's hands so he must not have been worthy :P

Xion was made from Sora's memories of Kairi and she drew her power from Roxas and in turn Sora. Her keyblade was a fake but she syphoned her power off Roxas who had a real keyblade- Sora's. They spent the entire time during days going back and forth with syphoning each others power and everyone was affecting each other in some manner.

As for Kairi- she's gonna get training and since Namine is currently inside her they both would gain that experience .So if Namine gets saved and becomes her own person separated from Kairi ( which she should since she grew her own heart ) she could also have learned by then to summon one herself through Kairi .xD

I do have to say the way Kairi got handed her keyblade was weird and unexplained and not handled well IMO.

True, I forgot about how Roxas and Xion affected each other xD I should probably replay Days... At least we have you to correct our mistakes lol

I just try to help :P

I wouldn't mind if she had one but didn't go around fighting everything she sees with it. Maybe she could do something special with a keyblade that nobody else can?

Awww Thanks !  I am a girl though xD

My point exactly...Xemnas doesn't use a keyblade. He chose not too and he can still defend himself! I'm sure Naminé can do the same.
