What is the weakest/worst Disney movie ever?

Posted

Today we're gonna discuss the weakest/worst movies of Disney so far. Especially the recent Disney movies.

And it's only about Disney, not other companies such as Pixar or Marvel. Don't bring 'Cars 2' here.

So, I always wanted to watch 'FROZEN', the newest Disney movie. The early trailers sounded a bti childish, but the newest ones pointed some interesting points of the movie.

At first I thought the movie was bad and weak, but then I started to pay it a little more attention and saw it with my parents... and listened to the songs for once... and I really enjoyed it... eh, sometiems we gotta see a thing twice to like it.

I don't know. I love Tron: Legacy, The Lion King, Hercules and others.

So, I saw the movie and it was an huge Disappointment!

I expected far better from Disney, honestly. I mean, the story is good, Elsa is a great character and all... but the movie was really, really bad...

The movie is full of plotholes and the song is way to annoying. Well, 'Let it Go' was awesome, but that's it!

It's laos noticeable that the movie had lack of time, but why did Disney wasted essential time on useless songs? The character model for the character Anna is the same as Rapunzel, which shows us the lack of Disney managing to create different characters. Disney always want to make their new character beautiful and dumb. Yes, Anna is stupid! C'mon... she wanted to marry a guy she just met! There's also another dumb things that happened during the movie, but I'm gonna avoid SPOILERS.

The movie os too cliché, cheesy and cheap. The beggining is rushed and forced. The movie itself doesn't make any sense and the villain is too lame...

But the graphics of the movie are stunning! I liek the Elsa character, she's the only 'good' character of the movie. But Disney also showed a lack on her by making her way too complicated.

Honestly, only Pixar is keeping Disney alive nowdays...

What about you?

Same goes for a lot of Disney princesses.

I'm sure you pissed of some members here by saying "Frozen was a huge dissapointment" xD

Anyways, I absolutely despise Lion King 2.

I just can't that movie, and the portuguese dub makes it even worse >.<

It's too cliché and only got 8 stars because it's Disney xD

I always felt like after Princess and the Frog it started a decline in quality, but once again I'm old school Disney and this new stuff doesn't really tickle my fancy

Pixar still amazes me.

But on FROZEN it was too rushed unlike the other movies.

Asking them to write meaningful songs is irrelevant to their quality. It honestly doesn't matter if they come out of nowhere or not, all that matters is whether or not they're enjoyable. I'm not going to defend them from you just because I liked them, that's your personal preference. But I do think it's unfair to simply disregard all of the songs as pointless, especially when, in my eyes, so many of them are actually pretty fun.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say the character is dumb. Personally, I would say it was more innocence and naivety that they were going for. It makes sense in context of the story as well, she's literally had no experience with the outside world at all. Even so, I still won't argue if you think that's idiocy.

That plot point was more subversive than anything else. Yes, she wanted to marry someone she had just met. But practically EVERYONE else in the movie acknowledged that it was a bad idea. I don't believe Disney introduced this plot-point to show any kind of genuine love story, they did it so as to mock the concept and once again show the naivety of the character Anna. AGAIN MY OPINION.

Making a character complicated is a good thing, if you don't spend too much time trying to figure them out. You don't always have to understand the character to enjoy the character. Once again, this comes off more as your personal preference than anything else, so I really can't complain. Oh, and once more...

This is all just my opinion.

Muppets. just meh.

Santa Clause 2-BAD.

Hanna Montanna Movie- I think no need to say why I dislike it.

High School Musical movies-irritating

Jonas Brothers Concert movie- I don't want even watch it.

Pixar still amazes me.

Oh dude yes totally I will always have nothing but love for Pixar. Now I'm just waiting patiently for Incredibles 2

I personally never liked the Lion King.

And I don't watch the "new generation" Disney like HSM, Hannah Montanna, any teen pop band, whatever but if Renaissance Disney was your childhood more than likely you're gonna complain about it

Probably.

@Topic: Cinderella.

Ignoring the well done art, Cinderella's just an annoying twit.

Lion King 1 and 1 1/2 are 2 of my favorite movies ever but I don't really care for 2

Tarzan is also one of my favorite movies but 2 wasn't necessary to make

I liked Tangled too and that's kind of a newer movie

Aladdin is arguable my all-time favorite movie and the 3rd one I liked but I didn't care for 2

Peter Pan 2 wasn't a good sequel but I compare every Peter Pan sequel to Hook and that makes it tough for them

I don't really consider the hannah motana and jonas brother stuff really Disney movies but I don't care for them

I'm neutral about Brave, I didn't hate it or like it it was just okay

I actually loved Frozen. But the movie that I have to say is weak is the Disney Classical version of Alice in Wonderland, mainly due to the awful story about the walrus eating the baby clams and the "Merry Unbirthday" song. There are other movies that I just don't get the liking to, like Marry Poppins and Dumbo. But the Unbirthday has always been my least favorite Disney movie moment.

(And just so we are clear here, no one talk about any Lion King movie and/or any Tron movie poorly, you are allowed to post that you don't like it, and that is fine but just no truly terrible things about it.)

If you hate it now, read/watch "The Snow Queen" Then you'll despise it. I really wish they had kept the "girl saves boy, for a change" plot even if they got flak for making it "yet another stereotypical love story"Personally, I went in knowing what it was supposed to be based on as well as all they changes they made. As such I just ignored that it was based off of "The Snow Queen" and had low expectations. Since my expectations were so low, it was actually better than I thought so I enjoyed it.

As for Disney movies I dislike, any animated sequel, there's a reason fairy tales end with "happily ever after" and the majority of the live action movies.

My favorites are Treasure Planet and Aladdin.

It's really too bad Disney Animation Studios has decided to stop traditional animation in favor of CGI. Seriously, go on Disney Wiki, the next 7 movies they have planed for the animated canon are all CGI.

Planes. Either that or the pointless and stupid direct to DVD sequels for all of them.

I used to read "The Snow Queen" as a child. I had a book full of fairy tales.

The Lion King

If we're talking about live action ones then

That one with Vin Diesel being a Babysitter/Undercover Secret Agent

Oh and Frozen sucked...go freaking read or watch a real version of The Snow Queen you freaking morons

The Snow Queen was a touching story...not this crap Frozen with this stereotypical princess crap

Woah, so much Frozen-hate... O_o I haven't seen it myself, but my sister is pretty much fangirling over it. And even the others that I know that have seen it have said that it's pretty good... but well, people have different opinions...

I don't know about the worst, though. I don't like the plot of Snow White (WTF they fall in love in a second and the prince kisses Snow White even though he thinks she's dead?? necrophilia??), but then again it's a classic, and I REALLY appreciate the animation, so I just can't go on hating it.

I can't even bring myself to hate The Little Mermaid 2, even though in all honesty it's pretty bad... But I adored it when I was little so... : D

And I remember I didn't like Brother Bear very much, but I can't remember it at all...

LET IT GO. LET IT GO. THIS MOVIE IS OVERRATED.

In this thread: People mistaking being tired of obsession over a film with adequate assessment of that films quality.

I'm tired of seeing people obsess over Frozen too ya'll but the film is by no means the weakest or worst Disney movie ever.
