The Kingdom Hearts fanbase is going down a dark place. Okay, not exactly, but the fanbase has started a movement over that pin. It's called #SquareBeFair. I personally think these people need to get over it. It's a free bloody pin. Here in Australia & Europe we're used to getting nothing when we purchase a game. When you were enjoying your Lightning Returns collector's edition we just got a steelcase. When you got the Mark of Mastery Edition for Kingdom Hearts 3D we got nothing.

 

Yes, it sucks that we aren't getting an artbook or anything else. But we are still likely to get the soundtrack in full released separately according to VGO. So seriously, be grateful for what you have. You're still getting the HD collection. Anything more is a bonus. There's more to life than merchandise and pre-order bonuses.

How about this "silly" movement ends the exclusivity Japan gets? Then Aussie will get the good stuff too.

I do agree it's childish, and a bit of a overreaction, but i was just mad that we never get all the good stuff. I will calm down on the # and will still be appreciative of what we have. Will still leave the video up, because I just want more than we have.

Guys, this is happening over a pre-order bonus when we should instead save this campaign for something that matters way more, like to get Kingdom Hearts III to release on the same date worldwide. But the KH3 campaign shouldn't be happening anytime soon, I'm just saying this movement at the moment is over pre-order bonus of all things. 

 

The pin isn't even that bad.

You know...this problem could be resolved if Square Enix released the same bonuses internationally.

 

You have no idea how annoyed I am that living in Australia, we don't get that many games here [i walk into EB games and they don't stock half the JRPG games I want] - half the time I have to ask relatives to help me buy them whenever they go overseas (and thats like once in a blue moon!)

 

Its a pin, get over it! its not like not having that pin equates to the cessation of bodily function!

If people want it, then ask someone or a middleman service to help you get one!

It isnt about the pin, its that japan ALWAYS gets the good stuff. They got the final mix versions of the games WAY before any other countries, and they are getting the awesome collectors pack in japan, while we get the pin. If we get the pin, thats fine, but they need to realize that every KH fan around the world deserves the same recognotion as the JPN fans!

 

Yeah, and North America gets tons of great stuff the rest of the world doesn't but you don't see us starting movements.

Honestly, I was pissed about getting the pin at first, but seriously, guys it's an addition. I feel bad for the lone dog Austrailia which, we as Americans (and some Europeans) fail to notice barely get anything. But, I will admit, they got a keychain with their preorder of inFAMOUS: Second Son, and I got the crap DLC where all you do is talk to Zeke on the phone.

I am not happy about japan getting something a thousand million Times better than other countries, but i Will not complain.

To be fair pre-order bonus or not it's very underwhelming to be labelled as a "Limited Edition". I get that the pin itself is limited but you can't help but feel that anything labelled as a Limited Edition could be done with a little more to it. I'm not going to be ungrateful and honestly I think the pin is kinda cool, I'll have no use for it but it can sit next to my other KH stuff.

 

I guess people are way too annoyed that we got a very nice limited edition last year for 1.5 (which Japan didn't btw) and they were excited to get another one this time around. I wouldn't pay much attention to this "movement" as it's just a bunch of people whining, which actually fits well with certain parts of the KH Fanbase as all they do is whine about something.

 

I'm still waiting to see if 2.5 actually gets a better edition and recent words from the PS Blog comments seem to be encouraging at least, but if it doesn't there's no point whining and hastagging #SquareBeFair everywhere.

i feel that the movement was only Half justified, but the fans completely ruined it. the reason i say this is because i agree that the "limited edition" for NA was a bit...well  disappointing. This can be easily fixed because they can still announce more stuff for it. Here are some of the reasons why I think the fans blew this out of proportion. One of them being that upset fans compare the NA kingdom hearts 2.5 limited addition to the collectors pack for 1.5 and 2.5 that's exclusive in japan (at this point in time). The reason that people shouldn't be doing this in the first place is because the Collectors pack that's exclusive to japan, isn't any form of a "special edition for kingdom hearts 2.5. The collectors pack is purely its own thing, and that thing being a bundle for 1.5 and 2.5. therefore, making it useless to compare two different things. Onto the next topic which is the "UN-equality" for the different editions of the game. we should be happy that we are getting this free upgrade because other regions could get less. and when those other regions do get less do you see them going about ranting over the internet? no. Now this isn't me saying that they don't get upset because most do, BUT they STILL don't start any childish movement towards the company. A perfect example of people not throwing a fit over what they COULD HAVE gotten was the kingdom hearts 1.5 art book. Others should learn from this In the end, most buy the game for THE GAME, not the stuff that comes with it like a poster or a pin in this matter. i think every one should just get over it and enjoy the game they are wanting to buy, bought, or plan on buying.

To be fair the survey was conducted by Square Enix NA, not our division which is based in London.  

I find this ridiculous, but for some reason i won't really argue over the fact they are gonna start a movement. I'm just gonna let them be their supposedly "smart" selves lol.

 

I couldn't care less about that pin. The thing i'm more upset about is that we are getting the game 2 whole months after Japan. I thought Nomura said he was done with this BS of giving Japan all the perks.

I honestly don't care if I get a pin when I pre order 2.5. I paid for 1.5 without pre ordering it and therefore I didn't get the art book. I didn't pre order it because I would care less about an art book because we would at least be getting something that was Japan only(talking about the final mixes) which is a good thing for the rest of the world. This is why I might not pre order 2.5. For the people who really want something else besides a pin for 2.5 well at least we are getting TWO final mixes which no other country got besides Japan.

Oh god. This is embarrassing. I just want to play the game. Is that really not good enough for these people?

I mean, they are getting both KHII Final Mix and BBS Final Mix, which are, debatably, two of the best KH games ever made.

Be lucky you're getting those, for God's sake.
