What has Kingdom Hearts done for you?

Posted

This is where you can express your feelings about the series and talk about how it has affected you and what it has done for you. By all means, be creative, show your Kingdom Hearts side, and so on.  Please like each others' (including mine) posts. What the series has done for me is bring me into a family that stretches around with world.  I know that I am not alone and am part of a huge family.  It has introduced to me new friends and new people who love what I love.  I love Disney now more than ever and view it differently.  That was what it has done for me.

Kingdom Hearts did the following for me: Restored my faith in gaming, made me like Square-Enix more, made me feel happy when I was feeling down, inspired me to be more open about myself, introduced me to this site and gave me a new favourite game series! :D

I also got feels from Aqua7KH's post...*sniff* very good. :)

What Kingdom Hearts done for me.. it basically made me who I am today. From playing it when I was 5, it got me interested into video games, anime, and everything I'm interested in today. Also, growing up my childhood was pretty rough, so in those dark days when I just wanted to not be here anymore I would just play Kingdom Hearts and suddenly I felt like everything was going to be okay. Not only that, I was able to connect with my Grandparents with Kingdom Hearts and that might be the most important part to this. With my Grandparents, the people who raised me now both dead, this connection with us and Kingdom Hearts will now continue to live along with my memories of them. Not only that, Kingdom Hearts enabled me to cope with the feeling of loneliness. When I was alone, and had no friends I would just pretend Sora was here, or maybe Roxas and that they welcomed me as a friend with opened arms. My favorite person like ever (Aqua) is my role model because she is what I want to be when I grow up. A kind, caring, strong young woman who would do anything for the people she loves. I wanna be just like that. Also, Kingdom Hearts is the reason why I wanna become a concept artist, as well as basically a creator. Now that I think of it, Kingdom Hearts might be the reason of 99% of why I am who I am right now. Kingdom Hearts thought me to value friendship, that there's a light at the end of the tunnel, to have good morals, to keep an open mind... pretty much everything. And I never want to slip into the darkness of adulthood... I'll be a warrior of light as an adult. :P No hypocracy, no judgement, just an open mind and kind, welcoming heart. (Like Aqua)Also, as Ruby said it brought me to this site with all of you lovely folks. :> So that's very important too.I don't know where would I be without KH.

this is so inspiring <3

It gave me friends here that I can really relate to and socialise with. It has truly impacted my life significantly. Not as greatly as Aqua up there, but it is still a great impact.

It's amazing how a series about friendship has brought together so many people from different parts of the world of various races, cultural backgrounds and beliefs to all share the one thing we all have in common. Our hearts are all connected because of it.

This place is a Kingdom Hearts in itself :)

Peace!

It gave me an interesting and fun series to stretch my brain muscles with.

By that token, it was also responsible for some rather unproductive time periods. YES IT IS TOTALLY THE GAME'S RESPONSIBILITY AND NOT MINE.

It gave me more fun than almost anything else considering the original is still my favourite game. It's one of the only few games to make me genuinely feel. Aaaand...it gave me Dracozombie (and by extension my friends here). So, yah.

KH first got me into video games! Also Kingdom Hearts as a whole inspired me to become a musician, believe it or not. I play 3 different instruments and is all thanks to the beautiful KH music!

I was about to point out that we met over dA, and then I remembered our first debate was over a Kingdom Hearts > Final Fantasy stamp. =P So yes, Kingdom Hearts makes friendship magic.

I guess be a bit more positive about things. I wouldn't still be here today so...yeah

May 31 2011. Never forget.  I made that stamp too, I'm so proud.^^ I suppose you could say SoM also makes friendship magic considering that's what started our year-or-however-much-long convo, after our initial debate faded. =P

Kingdom Hearts kept me from commiting suicide five years ago.I got a new Ds and DAYS the birthday before .. uhm..a lot of bad stuff I don't want to talk about, and i played it for hours every night, involved in the story and characters. I played it 12 times in those 5 years, wearing out one copy and one Ds in the process. It taught me about hope: Roxas struggled against all that mess, and still had hope at the end of DAYS, on his summer vacation. ( I hadn't played II at this point). That's all.Bye.

Same thing as other games; make friends. That's about it really...

It literally has changed my life. And I'm so thankful that it did. I don't think I would be the same person I am today without it.

To appreciate other stories which aren't as convoluted and dumb

I dunno, it's just a series which I enjoy. It hasn't done anything for me on a deep or emotional level. Made me appreciate the 'RPG' genre more I guess?

Kingdom Hearts has entertained my mind from going into extreme boredom for a couple days. It has given me fun.

I have built relationships talking about KH, but we don't talk about KH after that. Other than that... Idk.

I tend to keep my KH thoughts and opinions to myself or occasionally put them on here. I don't like talking about KH in day to day basis at school, work, etc... I view it as this: My love for KH is not the same as your love for KH. Our passion is different.

I will talk to you about Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji, Scandal, White Queen, etc.. about the historical context they contain.

Being honest, I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for Kingdom Hearts. Probably lost in some dark corner moping as I repeat my Junior year again. KH has helped me more than I can say. It's really been my life and love for years.I'd say maybe dead, too. I'd probably had killed myself if I hadn't met the people I've met because of Kingdom Hearts. I found Kingdom Hearts when I was in Dark Days, it really helped me get through some stuff.I've said this before on a different topic, but "Kingdom Hearts is Light!" doesn't just refer to the in-game mystery, but the series as a whole. It helps lead people to eachother and other places, maybe even do things that the player never even thought possible.

Well, most of who I am came from the friends and enemies I made from this game. My life was changed by the fact I played a goofy little game with a boy, an oversized key, and a crazy cast of characters.

Well it brought me here and its thanks to Kingdom Hearts that I'm now a Final Fantasy fan,but that's about it

It led me here, and helped me make a lot of friends. It also affected how I view games. However, Pokemon is far more influential in my life.

It taught me perserverance, helped me through my parent's divorce, thought me not to give up on friends you love, and has instilled so many great lessons and values in me from a young age. KH has literally been the only consistent thing I have like my entire life
