it's been a year since we've heard or seen any new footage or important (AKA HYPE worthy) news from kh3 i mean like square is treating kh3 as if it were an overprotective japanese fathers teenage daughter. i noticed that the creativity of this section of the forum has faded and im wondering if im the only one thinking ''whats taking so firetrucking long?'' i mean i know they just swiched to the''unreal engine 4''---->(HYPE worthy?) and this is the year of II.5 but Damn Square''why you do dis?''no footage whatsoever what do you guys think?

I think KH3 is still early in development so I don't mind,its not like FFXV where we had like 7 years of nothing.There's still a long way to go before we get the game

It's still very early in development. Don't expect it to be released until 2017 at the earliest.

The hype train HAS died recently, but as soon as there's another trailer, it will start chugga chugga choo chooing at a rapid pace again.

Oh, come on. You, as a fan, of all people should know the answer. It is a highly anticipated and awaited game, especially amongst us fans. I'm sure you know how people reacted to the announcement trailer. Just knowing that it is in development causes enough excitement and hype. If this "hype" you are talking about doesn't fade when something truly hype worthy is announced, there is no telling how fans will react. And remember, we have been waited for almost a decade just for the game to be at least announced. Now we have to wait for it to be developed. Like Sora96 said, expect 2017.

The hype is there but not as much as it was when they first announced the game or the when they showed us the gameplay trailer last year. I guess we have to wait for E3 2015 where they might show another trailer which would bring the hype back up again... and as most people saying the release date should be 2017, could be late 2016 as well.

Ummm what did we see actually of the game to be hyped about?

 

Aside from the E3 trailer which ultimately is a proof of concept trailer of the game's alpha stage,and less than a minute of footage,we haven't seen anything ...not a single concrete thing or a recent build that we can get excited about nor any tidbits of the story aside from Sora holding the Master Keeper keyblade that Aqua and Eraqus used to wield.

That means absolutely nothing if the development didn't progress.Any company can say:Hey we began working on this game........then put it on hiatus until they finish whatever other project they're working on

 

KH3 was never supposed to be announced at E3 2013.The reason it was announced is because they want to keep fans from jumping ships to other franchises and tell them:Hey guys we're working on it but we have no idea when it'll be done
