KH 3D HD Remix is not Feasible on PS3

Posted

Most of us here have most likely already finished the 2.5 HD collection and have seen screenshots from Dream Drop Distance in the ending credits of 2.5. Like SE did with 1.5 beforehand foreshadowing the 2.5 HD collection, I believe these screenshots are hinting at a port/HD ReMIX of the 3DS title Dream Drop Distance. I believe the only possible console(s) to port DDD onto is either the PS4 or Wii U as both have integrated motion controls (Dualshock 4 Touchpad/Sixaxis; Wii U gamepad). The PS3 is just not a possible candidate to port DDD onto as it lacks the touchbar of the Dualshock 4 making the motion controls nearly impossible to replicate. What do you guys think?

The touch screen on the PS4 doesn't have visual feedback so tht doesn't work either

and they're definitely not putting it on the Wii U

but

they could jsut rework the very few times when the touch screen is required. It's not like it's an important feature

They won't port it to PS3 anyway, especially since 2.5 didn't sell that well. They want to build up the PS4 user base.

Square Enix don't really care about Wii U.

Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance on 3DS is ok, for me. I mean, I don't sincerely care about it.What we all should really care is what the 2015 will show us about KH III.

This The only reason why I would get a DDD port is for Chi.

I think it is possible for it to work on the PS3. Every thing in the menu can stay the same except the Dream Eaters. The Reality Shift Sling Shot, Faithline, Code Break, and Bubble Burst can use a reticule for it to work and activated with Triangle. Sling Shot (already has a reticule): Hold back the Left-Stick to pull back and release it to let the target go.

Faithline:Put the reticule over the the enemy or object that you're on and hold X. Move the reticule while holding X to move it over the the other targets and release it once you complete the line.

Code Break: Move the reticule over the codes you want to use and press X to confirm the the code pieces.

Bubble Burst: Hold the Left Stick in the opposite direction of the enemy.

Wonder Comic: Move the Left Stick in the direction of the arrow and rapidly press X for when those section comes.

Melody Catcher:Press or hold the corresponding buttons on screen on time with the music.

Nightmare's End/Mirage Split:It'll be like a slots game, there will a line in the middle of the screen and press X when most of the white pods are in the range of the line.

Flick-Rush can use the Square, Triangle, and Circle for the three cards and by holding either the Up or Down on the Left Stick can either do their attack or defense.

Motion Controls? What motion controls?

Touchscreen or not, it's feasible. They can easily rework it. Of course, I'd prefer they multiplat DDD and the put all the ReMIXes into one package for PS4 and Xbox One.

I'm fine if they put Dream Drop Distance on the PS4 because I'm getting a PS4 eventually.

Square Enix don't really care about Wii U.

half a million isn't bad

Tomb Raider sold 3.4 million in its first month and SE still thought it didn't sell well. Their views on good and bad sales are a little firetrucked up.

Square Enix however does care about Nintendo, or there wouldn't be Square Enix games on the DS and 3DS family systems. Plus you are forgetting the time when they made a Mario sports game. Clearly, Square doesn't hate Nintendo, they just need to get familiar with the Wii U.

It may take more effort than porting a a game from a Sony system, but it can be done.

I've suggested that KH3D could be remade for the Wii U on here before. It didn't end well. :/ I'd personally be all for it.

Tomb Raider wasn't an HD remake with a tiny budget

This and 'When is KHIII coming out' are tied for the most threads made about the same subject on this site.

pretty sure "A FROZEN WORLD!?" beats both of them easily

Couldn't they just remove the touch screen controls? Anyway, it won't come on PS3 for sure. I think Square is moving on to next gen...

I personally don't think a KH3D rework is necessary right now, but that's just me. In all honesty, I'd rather play a localized version of Chi.
