Easily CGA. I just love it because it's pretty cool and it looks nice. Plus I love looking at the models and whatnot. My favorite type is cell-shaded models.

Personally, I like 2-D animation the most. It's really tough to make it weird unless you are purposely trying to make a weird show/movie.

In the particular 2-D animation, I love seeing moderately smooth animation, such as FMA, SAO, and AOT (Guess what animes those are :D ). But I can easily enjoy regular animation, like the original Digimon series.

(I want to get into some kind of animation/digital design industry, but who knows?)

oh that's a tough one.

i enjoy CGI to see what modern technology can bring to the table but after watching Treasure Planet I have a new found respect for traditional style animation, despite that movie being a mix of both 2D and 3D. Nothing wrong with good ol' stop motion either. It's got a certain charm to it that I also find enjoyable.

I guess if I had to choose though I'd go with classic 2D.

Hand-drawing of course!!! I love all animation Hand-Drawn, Stop Motion, and CG Animation but I choose Hand-drawn all the way. One of the reasons why I choose and prefer hand-drawn is because I love the different art styles from different hand-drawn animation movies. Over the years each 2D animation movies has their own unique environment and styles. I'm a artist so I love drawing 2D characters(One Hundred and One Dalmatians, The Lion King, Aladdin, and The Great Mouse Detective and more Disney Hand-Drawn classic) and I also love anime(Tenchi Muyo, Dragon Ball Z, Cardcaptor Sakura, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Castle in the Sky) so yeah my art style is anime style. Anyway the other reason why I love 2D animation is because when I get a pencil and paper and start drawing my imagination starts to take over me because it feels like I'm in a different world. A world where I can create my own world, mythology, characters, setting, and story. And when I drawn my characters I feel like I became a different person, because when I draw the characters body, clothes, hair, and expressions I feel I'm becoming these characters(both male and female) and I have own cool story arcs. Also in my opinion when I start drawing I feel like I'm also writing a story, because when I draw my characters I wanted to know where my characters come from. Are they good, evil, or both? Do they have friends, families, or love interest? And what are my characters story arcs and where can I take them. Hand-drawing takes a lot of work but in the end it's totally worth it because I put my mind, heart, and soul into my 2D drawings. I don't feel like that when I was doing Stop Motion animation and CG animation. Stop Motion was a unique experience because I have to use a lot clay and take a lot of pictures when slowly move my clay characters but I didn't like because it kind of takes a very long time to create one animation sequence. And as for CG animation it was great experience especially when I draw my characters and the environment, but I don't like transferring my 2D drawings into 3D animation because it feels weird trying to make my 3D drawings look the same like my SD drawings. But yeah Hand-Drawn is my all time favorite animation

While all styles of animation bring their own charm and appeal, I have to say that the style I love most is definitely 2D hand drawn animation!  There's just something about that style that never tires me.  You can feel the love and hard work the artists went through to create their magnificent works, and well, the hand drawn Disney movies have a special place in my heart, and I just find that the animation style is amazing, and you can really see how the imaginations of various artists work! And this also applies to anime!  One of the reasons I love anime to death is because the shows are drawn in 2D, and I just love that!  There's just that irresistible charm of 2D art that has such a spark, ya know? :3

I enjoy all animations although hand drawn is by far my favourite

Maybe its nostalgia, but I love watching 2d animation. There's just something about it! Of course there are some films that I couldn't imagine in anything other than CGI, like Big Hero 6 or Toy Story and Disney does do it well, but it doesnt mean that everything they do should be CGI. The only reason 2d films don't do well at the box office is because there are NO 2d films being released!!! Simple logic really

I'd love to see a return to hand drawn animation

Tangled looked so good thanks to CGA.

Voted for Computer generated animation, though it was a tough choice because although CGA is absolutely stunning, hand-drawn animation has this feel to it that computer animation just doesn't have... >.< (maybe because I grew up with hand-drawn animated films, it's nostalgic)

Disney's really been bringing their movies to life with CGA since Tangled, however, hand drawn works like Beauty and the Beast and The Princess and the Frog are just as good. I like both of them in equal merit.

PS: glad to know that stop motion is a category too. That art form is far too under-rated.

I'm torn between 2D and 3D.

Each has its own charms and perks and I can't really decide which I like best.

One thing's for sure, I don't like Stop-Motion.

I can see the work put into it but in the end it still looks bad from my perspective.

I love it all!! But 2-D is my favorite because that was the best time for Disney films. (But Tangled and Big Hero 6 are da bomb.com) :D

Are you kidding? I love all of them! But if I had to pick a favorite (kind of important since I'm in an Animation major now, so better nail down what I want), I guess my preference would slightly lean more towards traditional 2D animation. I love all of the new CG and stop motion animation movies we've been getting lately, but lately that feels like it's all we've been getting. It's likely that CG movies are quicker to make and less costly than traditional animation, but traditional animation is also where Disney got it's roots, and it would be a shame to see that disappear forever. Hopefully from this point on there can be a new hand drawn classic once every couple of years, like the Princess and the Frog. At the very least though, we'll always have a bunch of well crafted animated films from Disney to enjoy and love, no matter what medium they are coming in.

I love all of them! To decide between them is life trying to decide my favorite movie ^3^

It really could be that anything classic was done in 2D, but I have to give 2D the edge.  The problem with CGA is that it may look good at the time, but down the road it ends up looking clunky as newer CGA stuff is released.  With 2D, the feeling of it never really changes; yes there is more modern 2D style stuff that looks gorgeous, but it doesn't take away from the beauty of the older stuff.  I love stop-motion style as well, I just haven't watched or found many movies in that genre to really make me love it as much as others do.
