I'm going to say this quick: There should be a game about Hayner, Pence and Olette. Why? Because I always wondered how they became best friends, why they live in Twlight Town, why are they rivals with Seifer and his gang, and what's their orign. We barely see what are they doing due to fighting Nobodies/Heartless in Disney worlds. Having a game without all the disney stuff would be great for once.

We do not need an entire game for a story that could be fully fleshed out in just a couple of(well done)cutscenes.

There is an anime called "Kimi to Boku", I imagine that would be how they spend their days...like normally young adolescence with problems related to school, relationships and first world problems...and acting silly....etc

KH without Disney... No.

Their lifes are boring without Roxas and the mysterious stuff going on (nobodies, DiZ, Namine, etc.)

 

But I would like to see them again in KH3.

I definitely want to see more of the Twilight Trio since they were pretty wonderful characters. I mean, we get to see a fair bit of them in the first part of the game, but then once Sora wakes up we only ever see them again when Kairi ends up in Twilight Town and when investigating the mansion. It seems like a game might be a bit too much to give them more story, but I suppose a manga or novel of some sort could give some development, maybe some new original characters added to the mix. Story-wise, I feel, Square Enix have been great outside the whole magical fantasy aspect it's games are famous for, I'd give back stories of The World Ends With You as an example of that. If they ever did something with the Twilight Trio it'd be quite interesting.

If there was something like Kimi to Boku with the them then I'd be over-the-moon since I adore that anime. Funny it'd be brought up since Miyu Irino, the voice of Chizaru Tachibana, is also the voice of Sora, and Koki Uchiyama, the voice of Yuta Asaba, is also the voice of Roxas.

See the problem here is that the questions you have aren't important enough to be focused on for an entire game. Nomura would have to write a more contrived set of answers in order to keep players interested and make the game feel relevant. Odds are he'd try to shoehorn "Kingdom Hearts: Bland Bonds" or whatever into the main story line. It's not a good idea.

Doesn't need to be a game. Can just be a manga or short novel.

Yeah, something relatively small like this could be done in a manga. Actually, what would be nice is if they did something like the One Piece manga, and spread out canonical stories like that throughout Volumes as the opening images for chapters. Like, one image could describe how they met, and another could show them fighting against Seifer.

Good, we have the enlightenment without a game about their lives. This basically summed it up. Besides, a few cutscenes in KH3 would take care of it in a heartbeat, but would still be unnecessary.

I could see it being like a Telltales game or a Life is Strange like game but maybe with more than just those 3. Maybe with each chapter we could figure more and more about the story. Like Xehanort & Eraqus, Xion, Roxas & Ventus in Sora's heart & maybe even the Restoration Committee in Radient Garden after the events of KH2. But maybe they'll answer these questions in KH3. But I wouldn't mind that ind of game though, it would be an interesting introduction for Telltales like games for me.

While I like your idea, I honestly think that we could see that in cutscene format instead of a whole, singular game.  Because okay, we'd get to know the basic things about them, but after that?  It'd be a short game!  So if Hayner, Pence and Olette's origins are to be touched upon, they should be in flashback cutscenes!

I'm laughing because all I can really visualize is them desperately trying to make enough money to afford their primarily sea salt-icecream based diet.

I need this in my life.
