Maybe it's not too far fetched to see Sora/Riku in Smash!

I was actually thinking that at first, but then I remembered, it's more down to Disney than SE. And seeing SSB characters are usually made into amiibos, Disney may not be keen on having Sora as an amiibo when they want him in infinity seemingly?

Doesn't nearly make as much sense as other characters Square-Enix could have let be in Smash, but exciting none the less. I was waiting for Square to get a character in Smash, and I'm glad they finally did. I would've preferred it be Sora though.

Whoa there Aqua. I mean sure we didn't get Sora but hey this is just as amazing. I don't think anybody expected Cloud to be in Smash even though he is an extremely popular character. But who knows, a KH character might get in Smash bros Wii U/3DS along the road. Don't give up hope yet (:.

I'm not mad! This is really exciting! I just haven't played FF7 that's all. But even with Cloud in Smash now, I'm actually going to try and get a Wii U just for Smash!And plus, hopefully even though Cloud is already a Square character they'll still add Sora if they consider him

Yeah, Hopefully he'll be in Smash bros Wii U/3DS and if they put him in I hope they don't give him any movesets that look similiar to other characters because from I can tell from the new trailer a few of Cloud's moveset looks similiar to Ike and Roy. But I won't fully judge on that until he fully becomes available.

That's it. I'm getting a 3ds, with Black Friday coming up its the perfect time. Gonna grab the first deal I find.

Well Skylanders and Nintendo did do that Bowser and DK amiibo "hybrid" (plus Nintendo didn't manufacture them), so an amiibo+infinity figure doesn't sound too farfetched. This is assuming Sora even makes it into Smash.

Okay, didn't expect to see him, but maybe this is a good start for Square and Nintendo to patch up their relationship and let Nintendo fans experience FF titles, or maybe not

This guy summed up my initial reaction.

Maybe Sora did win the smash ballot!! Disney doesn't want their characters (Sora) in a fighting game, maybe they had to pick the next best thing!!

There were a lot of cool references to FFVII in that trailer like Cloud being seasick on the King of red lion or Cloud stealing Wario's bike like he stole the Shinra bike,he ''used'' the frog spell on the gameboy kid,the Advent Children outfit is in the game,they even did the thing when Cloud and Sephiroth are looking at each other at the end but it was with Ike instead,probably because of the way Ike hold his sword which is kinda similar to Sephiroth,but not really. And of course a lot of his moveset came from the original FFVII,he has the blade beam,Cross slash,Cyclone,Omnislash and the limit break which I assume will raise when Cloud takes damage.

It woulden't work that way, since Sora would need to be an exclusive character on Nintendo Version of Disney infinity. Just like with the new Skylanders game the two characters are only work in the Nintendo version.

Fun fact: Dissidia was actually meant to be a Kingdom Hearts game. However, Disney didn't like the thought of their characters pointlessly fighting each other so it was turned into a final fantasy title instead.
