I know there may be posts similar to this, but there're probably a few years old, so...

in this post, be sure to say what that rpg is and be sure to tell me what kind of rpg it is.

Mine is Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I LOVE that game to death. It may not be my favorite video game of all time, but it sure gives me a lot of nostalgic memories when I was younger. It is a turned based rpg with an decent amount of action.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies

Pretty typical JRPG in terms of combat and story, but with a huge amount of content to do and explore. I can still have fun with it, to this day. Also, it's always fun to see the armor that characters equip actually change their appearance. That's one of my favorite things about the game lol

Pokemon if that counts.

If not, probably Final Fantasy IX.

More like several months old. /shot

Pokemon RBY. Obvious first game I played is obvious. lol

Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest was my first RPG.  It was on the SNES and is a more simplistic JRPG that follows the Final Fantasy sort of gameplay.  I loved it to death, and still play it every now and again.

Final Fantasy IX was my first RPG. The story was beautiful and the cutscenes were amazing. I own several copies of this game on several systems.

Pokemon Yellow. Then probably Dungeon Siege

My first RPG happens to be the very first game I can ever recall playing; that game is Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars!

Pokemon FireRed, as far as I can remember. Even if not the absolute first RPG I played, certainly the first one I ever beat or put a meaningful amount of time into.

What you said. That was my first RPG

Some weird Harry Potter GBC game that I don't really like to count anyway, especially since I barely played it. Pokemon Silver came after that, and it's still one of my favorite games of all time.

Dragon Warrior IV for the NES.  Its a simple turn-base jrpg, but I will always remember playing this with my dad (heck, we still play this series) So yeah, its very dear to me. :3

my first RPG was Kingdom Hearts but idk if i like counting that.

so the RPG i played after that (all the way through) was Persona 3 Portable, which showed me that turn based combat wasn't all that terrible and also made me begin to appreciate the soundtracks of video games. it definitely helped to form the opinions and appreciation i have for video games now.

I think Pokemon Red.

I think it was Pokemon Yellow

If I remember correctly, it's Final Fantasy VII.

Wow, you're very young.

Pokemon Silver for me.

Pokemon YellowPokemon Red

Although if you don't count Pokemon then it'd be Final Fantasy IV

Pokémon Ruby.

Not counting Pokemon or Kingdom Hearts, or World of Warcraft then it'll have to be Final Fantasy IV on DS.

Cause Pokemon was awesome on TV.

I'd be inclined to agree with Pokemon in my case as the first RPG I actually got into, notably Yellow version, and a bit of Gold/Silver every now and then when my brothers were nice enough to let me borrow one of them. Around that time though, my middle brother had bought a PSOne and introduced me to Legend of Mana. Lots of fond memories with those games.

My first RPG was a PC port of Shining Force. To this day I still love it and it's one of my all time favorites.
