Zelda gets away with a lot of shit compared to other games that's why people have more strong negative opinions regarding it

so people hate on it cause it's popular? cause you could only get away with things if you were a popular series. guess that's not surprising 

For me it's cause I genuinely think there are times Zelda wins game of the year or get praise leaps onto it for things that other games did before it and/or better
