Disney confirms that "Kingdom Hearts Online" is being worked on

Churro

Earlier in the year, we reported that South Korean publication INews24 had announced that a South Korean game studio, "Studio EX", was working on something that they referred to as "Kingdom Hearts online game"-- an official Kingdom Hearts title for both smartphones and the web.

At the time, we assumed that this was referring to the then upcoming Kingdom Hearts χ[chi]. However, Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] was later confirmed to be developed by Success Corporation in Japan. So, what is the "Kingdom Hearts online game" developed by Studio EX? Today, departing Disney executive John Pleasants had an interview with WSJ, confirming the game's existance.

John Pleasants: We have a studio in Seoul working on “Kingdom Hearts Online.”

Looks like this title is different to Kingdom Hearts χ[chi], and is still in development!

They should quit with these bullsh** attempts at 'expanding' the KH universe and just make KH3 already. FFS get your head together Square.

That is, if you're not tricking us all, Mr Antoine. Which if you are, I applaud your effort, but smh at your intentions.

Nah, If I was trying to fool you, I'd post this in the "Random" section. I'm not that cruel! As to your first comment, I think that a new KH MMO would be wonderful. Of course, KH3 would probably be released first, as Nomura has all but stated that KH3 will be the next game (not counting remasters)

You may know. But I wonder for what console will Persona 5 will be out. It will probably be for PS3, since the recent personas always come out in the main Sony console. But with the recent buying of Index and its domains by Sega-Sammy, I wonder if we may see it on Wii U, since Sega and Nintendo are in good terms with each others.

i'm guessing if they're not talking about KH chi, maybe it's the development of KH HD 2.5 remix since BBS technically had online, so they're most likely talking about the re-mastered version on ps3. (online this time)

I'm probably wrong though....

Since Seoul is a city in South Korea, I'm guessing this is a Korean only online game, much like Rockman Online. Nothing to get excited about.

Oh, great. So not only is it worthless, it's not even coming in English. Why does Square enjoy sucking the life out of what is a happy time for the KH franchise? Or, hell, ANY of their franchises? They're almost as bad as Capcom in some cases.

It's still possible that it'll be released internationally. Besides, one must not assume no overseas release. Remember KH2FM?

Me: Oh, Japan. (I'm talking about the Hetalia character). Will we ever get to experience Kingdom Hearts Online?

Me: England! How dare you call him a wanker! *slaps him*

England: Ow!

Me: Sorry, England. I had to.

OH MAN THIS COULD BE SO AWESOME! A POTENTIAL KH MMO WITH EXPANSIVE FEA- "smartphones and the web." "smartphones" Hype lost.

My thoughts exactly.

I would really have liked it with it wasn't a browser/smartphone game and more of a PC game.

What if its just KH 2.5's KHBBSFM multiplayer?

Then they will say they are talking about another game. I feel that X will transfer in facebook.
