The official Japanese Disney website has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts will be making an appearance at D23 Expo Japan 2018, held from February 10th, 2018 to February 12th, 2018. The listing confirms Kingdom Hearts, calling it the "Kingdom Hearts Fan Event," which is currently just a tentative title.

Kingdom Hearts had made an appearance at D23 Expo Japan in 2015, showing off a new Kingdom Hearts III trailer and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. This event was called the Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater.

I reaaally hope that the game is almost ready for launch by this event. I'm expecting trailers at both TGS and Jump Festa.

I guess with that, we do not have to wait till the end of 2018 to get our hands on Kingdom Hearts III. Just hope that they do not decide to keep the contents secret, compared to the last time KH3 made an appearance at D23 Expo Japan..

It will probably be fully ready Summer 2018 but won't release until Holiday 2018

Thanks for this awesome news, Jake!

Ah, so it was as we were all speculating! Kingdom Hearts III will indeed show at the D23 Expo in Japan next year! I wonder what big info will be revealed by then? Maybe a full release date, since we'd already be in the year of release?

Hey, maybe this event will reveal the game's final trailer and an exact release date that will follow, shortly after its announcement.

Awesome! I hope they livestream whatever happens at this fan event. This could be the biggest KH even we've ever seen. The concept reminds me of the FFXV event. That was amazing to watch, so I hope this KH event can be watched.

I don't know if this is good or bad news because of the dumb move of making it private in 2015...

I'm also kinda worried

we know we are getting less disney worlds than kh2 and Nomura has said it's likely we will know the worlds before it's release, it's highly likely another world reveal. I would personally keep a huge reveal secret until here, also due to the fact it will be winter time, this could be the moment to reveal Frozen too!
