Bleh, graduation ceremony's tomorrow. Do you know what my idea of celebrating my accomplishments is? Hint: not sitting around for two hours while important people read speeches and waiting for your name to be called.
lostmemory123 repliedWell if you bring something to distract you long enough for 2 hours like a handheld you should be fine

In lieu of seeing Godzilla and our ship I gotta ask: why do we as an audience accept the impossible but not the improbable when it comes to storytelling? Like we have giant dinosaur creatures rising from the ocean and tearing through buildings, breathing blue fire or we have stories about shipping winners with zombie's and conjuring up proof but if someone guesses the combination to a safe on their first try? Nope, the audience isn't having it. Bad idea is bad and the writer should fe...
Dracozombie repliedPretty much what Dave said, but to add to it, the impossible might be easier to accept because it gets a relatively freer pass--the "cannot happen in real life" versus "so contrived it's either a miracle or you're lying."
MyDixieRect repliedOK, so what if to crack open the safe there was a code that was written in Russian and, as it turns out, one of the main characters spent two years in Russia. There's nothing unlikely/low probability and odds of a person spending a couple years in Russia, most people can do it, but that still presents a problem and people aren't willing to accept it. Why?
Dracozombie repliedWell, that depends. If the character was established early on that he knows Russian, and it's reasonable for that safe to be written in Russian code, then it'd probably be acceptable. But if that information came out of nowhere (i.e. when he first sees the safe), then the audience would dismiss it as an asspull.

Well Demyx prefers that my name stay as Winner's Proof. So Winner's Proof it shall remain. Long live ZombieProof!
Queen Tery repliedWell you're already Winner's Proof. Have been for a while. Time for a promotion I'd say hahaha
MyDixieRect repliedThanks Tery.
But then what would mine and Draco's shipping name be called? I suppose we can be Success Zombie, even though it sounds just like a meme. -

That moment when you spend an hour mustering the willpower to get a paragraph written, and then delete it the moment you finish because you realize it doesn't add to anything.

I've been racking my brain for blog ideas, but I might settle on one about video game creepypastas since there are so many of them (that suck).

Really, if you start or participate in an internet fight, you shouldn't use the "I have better things to do" response to puff out your chest. Considering you're spending any amount of time typing a response, you clearly have some free time you're willing to kill.

This oatmeal tastes like blah. I don't think I cooked it thoroughly, but I'm too lazy to make another batch.
Dracozombie repliedI just added some sugar, which I think defeats the purpose of a supposedly healthy breakfast. Oh well. *eats some more*
HarLea Quinn repliedUnless you completely drowned it in sugar i'm sure it is still considered a healthy choice

Fun = working with a pessimistic and rude classmate who makes it clear he doesn't give two shits about what he's doing and is essentially wasting everyone's time, including his own, being present.
Dracozombie repliedOh, trust me, it's boatloads of fun. And I get to do it again tomorrow for an in-class assignment.

Two hours before I need to finish my play. It needs to be ten minutes and I've written two pages. Maximum procrastination!
Dracozombie repliedA ten-minute play. There's no requirement for what it needs to be as long as it's roughly around that time, and is put together well. I've gotten A's on works I've churned out in a hurry like this, so hopefully luck holds out.
Dracozombie repliedAnd it turns out my professor derped and it's due next Tuesday, not today. I guess it's a blessing in disguise since I'll have time to actually revise it; if I hadn't plowed through it this morning at the last minute, I'll probably plow through it some other morning at the last minute.

How to argue: use strawmen as examples for why you're so much better.
Dracozombie repliedStraw men can be real or hypothetical, but they're basically ignorant or misinformed about the topic they try to argue. They also tend to be used as "proof" for why a certain group/mindset/whatever is, well, less than flattering based on the strawman's actions.

My typical Sunday plans are laundry, chores, and loafing. Since my bro is home, we might actually do something. Either way, my Easter shennanigans usually have nothing to do with Easter.

There's a pimple on my neck that I can't pop because it feels like I'm choking myself if I try. Except it's big and asking for it. Help me, guys!
Dracozombie repliedI'm not keen on putting pointy stuff anywhere near my neck, whether katanas, needles, or fangs. I'll just tough it out like a pimply pimp.

A random dude on campus came up and hugged me and wanted me to be his girl. I was so perturbed by it that I honestly don't even remember his name.
WakingDawn96 repliedI didn't laugh at the last part. And I have disabilities, but I don't see you being rude about them to me

Pulling yet another all-nighter due to my procrastination. I'm currently watching dookieshed's Pokemon videos.
Jilly Shears repliedI stayed up way later than I should breeding Tynamo. I'm fine with my life choices.

Apparently this one and a half year old boy who liked hugs randomly walked up to this kid and hugged him. That kid's face...http://i.imgur.com/AK3Xwfs.jpg
Dracozombie repliedZombrina sounds more like a character in a children's show starring creepy stuff. That's why I like it.
And I suppose prom would be on her to-do list. Dracin's actually cool!MyDixieRect repliedYou must have watched some...interesting shows as a child. Thank you, I actually was going to write Dracin in my previous post, don't know why I went with Dracinzoof.
