no man. Magic is like really important in KH1, especially if you're on proud. Between Aero and Cure and Summoning Tink, it's really nice to have a bit of magic skill.

@Dave:While there is some true to it,I've always disagreed with that statement.Items are random and thus they randomly change the tied of the battle,you don't need skills to grab a Ore club,a Heart Container or a Master Ball that randomly spawn right next to you.And the final smash are completely unbalanced,if Fox is fighting Jigglypuff,he has an advantage only because his Landmaster is much better then her balloon thing,but when items are off,you can only rely on yourself to win,you...

You can turn off the items that make changes too drastic. For example, I like to leave healing items and things like the Hammer, Ore Club, and Gust Bellows off because I feel like they can get too cheap. I prefer to see items as more of a tool, and have my set up made so that it fits that.

its because on consoles you are limited to only playing it at on spot but on handhelds you can play whenever you want making the long rpg easier and faster to beat..... at least that's what I think

@tails i dunno. it just became near impossible to find brand new copies now. (aside from people who kept theirs and are selling them at a high price because they are "sealed") i have no idea why this happened. especially after smash bros comming out and having pit as a playable character, i would think they would capitalize on that and make more kid icarus uprisings.

wow! talk about a coinsidence! i actually JUST finished trying it in training mode and i just switched it back to smash attacks!

It really depends on your style of fighting.....I've been used to have the C-stick for Smash attacks for 12 years ever since Melee and my muscle memory just can't adapt to such change

i only started using the GCN controller scince like a year. i always used the wiimote or classic cntroller before i heard about the c stick being used for smash attacks. i immediatly switched!
