  1. I love that track from the mega collection. Alright, you've peaked my interest. Personally, I've always been really nostalgic for the old Sonic games and style, pre-Adventure. There's just something about classic Sonic that got me excited as a kid and even though I'm probably a decade too late to the party on being there when they first came out, I still greatly enjoyed them when I got that collection for Gamecube. I played the crap out of both Sonic 1 and 2, eventually beating the first game with all chaos emeralds although never managing to get them all in the sequel. A lot of people view Sonic the Hedgehog in a somewhat negative light and its fans even moreso due to how friggin crazy some fans have been. It got to the point that for the longest time, I didn't even really associate myself in the fandom online at all because there was such a negative connotation with them and children who complained by the character's eye and arm colors. Ridiculous. Not to mention, but the games started getting pretty bad about the mid 2000s, only just starting to get the hang of what they wanted by 2008 onward. Sonic Generations is my current favorite of the series because it blended the best of both worlds with really good callback gameplay to the originals with classic Sonic yet still improving on the formula modern Sonic games had been working with since 1999. Despite that, though, the franchise seems to have a stain on its reputation for breeding autistic man-children who screeched about every flaw and inconsistency which is sad because it's one of my longest-loved game franchises, beaten out by the likes of Kingdom Hearts and Crash Bandicoot. If there's a point to this post, it's probably that people should be allowed to respect and cherish their childhood memories of what they loved but freaking out when you're older and acting like one change is the end of the world does more harm than good to the very thing you want to see more of.

  3. The romantic connection between Sora and Kairi is most heavily implied in the first game. The way Kairi teases him about leaving Destiny Islands together - without Riku, Riku teasing him about sharing a paopu fruit and Sora scribbling his affection for Kairi on the cave walls. Not to mention his literal sacrifice to free her heart and her attempted sacrifice which ended up causing Sora to become reborn through her love and memories of him alone. It's all there in the first game! But that's the thing, their connection is most strongly focused on in the first game. (EDIT: And now that I think about it, despite looking for Riku in Castle Oblivion, Sora's foremost motivation for what he does as he climbs the castle is due to his feelings for Kairi getting mixed up by Namine!) Sora and Riku are best friends but its their rivalry that is most focused upon in that game because that's the foremost point between the two. By the sequel, both Sora and Riku have matured beyond petty rivalry and after their struggles in the game before, of course their reunion is focused upon more than Sora's with Kairi's. Their relationship healing itself hadn't been focused on enough! There was never a doubt that Sora and Kairi would be reunited (at least until she's kidnapped by Axel and the Organization) so he focused on Riku and the King. Once she is, though, he went so far as to bow down before Saix (which, in Japanese culture, is apparently a very low gesture) just for the chance to see her. The writing accounted for both of them. I'm not saying there's not a close intimacy between both Sora and Riku and that their love for each other as friends, brothers and, essentially, platonic soul mates, is unquestionable but I wouldn't degrade Kairi's character further by belittling what screen time she's gotten so far, either.
  4. Really, I was waiting four years for a game after KH2, which turned out to be Coded. Then, DDD released two years after that. Ever since KH3's announcement in 2013 though, I've been waiting for that to come out. So you're kind of right I haven't waited 10 years...I've waited 4+ so far.
  5. OH OH AAAAAAND it combines the BEST of the two versions of the script from the GBA and NDS version, keeping Axel's 'Got it memorized?' line but still keeping in lines like his, 'Give me one hell of a show!'
  6. Not to mention, the CoM novel actually acknowledges the existence of the higher-tier magic spells in dialogue like Blizzaga, Firaga, etc. AND has S/D/G's memory leave gradually instead of literally forgetting every Disney world after Traverse Town.
  7. KH1 is good but I honestly consider the CoM novel to be the best version of that story. It doesn't have the needless cringe of the manga, the generally bad gameplay of the games OR older Hayley Joel's voice-acting for still-14 year old Sora.
  8. Since work days are my longest days, I'm really waiting like this...
  9. THE HYPE WILL NEVER DIE I go sometimes during drought season, but I always return to these forums whenever some kind of news comes out.
  10. They can't have moved it. It's shown to be the exact same location in the credits for KHII. It could look different but honestly, the Coliseum is one of the most iconic locations in KH at this point so I can't see them changing much.
  11. First a failed movie, now a cartoon? I just want another game!
  12. July 15th. Let's not get some members here carried away. Lol Personally, I'm hoping for either Atlantis, Treasure Planet or Toy Story. Atlantis mostly, though.
  13. Toy Story is one of Disney's most popular properties. I mean, it's a no-brainer.
  14. I don't even need another world announcement. Just a projected 'it will probably release around this time barring no major complications' estimation would be great.
  15. There's not really any doubt it will appear. Really, my biggest question is whether they'll have a surprise announcement of an estimated release date. Even something like 'Winter 2018' or something to be as vague as possible.
  16. It's a shame cause Tarzan is one of my favorite Disney films.
  17. I don't think KHIII needs to launch with MORE worlds than KHII, especially since the worlds we're getting will be much larger in size anyway (in theory). Around the same number or even a little less doesn't bother me. As long as the intent is not specifically to lower world count just so they can throw more in later.
  18. Regardless if that weapon is related to Toy Story or not, I think it's a pretty safe bet it's going to show up anyway.
  19. Even if the Princesses wouldn't work for his plan for some reason, he's still threatening their lives. They have no choice but to confront him since it's not like they'll let them die.
  20. I guess they could. I don't know if they will anytime soon but it's not impossible.
  21. Not really. They could easily slot in TFA or even one of the cartoons without too much trouble. Just don't go into detail on the lore of everything.
