  1. Welcome (back) to the site! We're happy to have you here
  2. I had to go with KH2. It's my favorite of the Ultima Weapons Aesthetically, which to me even outweighs KH3's for being my favorite gameplay wise
  3. I'm normally one for finding cheese strats for bosses, but I will say the one thing that in all my years of playing the original KH series, I have NEVER thought to use Stop spells on bosses since that kind of thing just... doesn't usually work. That's a pretty nice way to beat the crap out of Cloud though that's for sure.
  4. Honestly I can imagine this is immensely helpful to some people. I know for me, no matter how many times I clear the game, there are always treasures that I run right by without even realizing it until much later in the game. Trinity Marks will always be my biggest bane though, I will say that much. Can't tell you how many times I've forgotten to go back and get all of them after unlocking all the abilities.
  5. Those two games were originally DS titles. They worked with remaking them as best they could into an HD format, but unfortunately being created when and how they were, the games would show lower quality than the ones that were originally released on PS2 that had a higher base quality It's not a system or game issue, they're just a product of their initial creation
  6. Greetings from my place of employ! And Happy Easter to those that celebrate it
  7. I definitely agree with them focusing on the friendship aspect. Like I think the idea of Sora and Kairi as a couple is cute, and have a couple of other characters I would ship, but that stays entirely in a headcanon and fiction and not something I would get outraged about personally. I do feel in KH3 they kinda pushed the idea of Sora being in love with Kairi a little bit more than just saying they were friends though. When most of the Disney worlds were basically of the theme that you have to understand what TRUE LOVE is in a romantic setting in this game it kinda gave off the vibe. Sure in San Fransokyo it was about friendship, and same with the Toy Box and Monstropolis, but when it came to Olympus, Kingdom of Corrona, Arendelle, even The Caribbean, romantic love was kinda a big thing. Herc loving Meg enough to dive into the well of souls and recover from his slump, Rapunzel loving Eugene and understanding that's what love was instead of what her mother was showing, Arendelle was Anna falling in love with Christoph and using her love for her sister to save her life no matter what their past was and The Caribbean concluded with the whole "If you love someone you have to be willing to make sacrifices" with good ol' Will Turner becoming the Captain of the Flying Dutchman and even Jack helping to bring Will back to life with knowing the Elizabeth loved Will. THAT ALL BEING SAID, there are multiple ways to display love and while I personally feel they didn't need to have Sora and Kairi kiss, there is love there whether it be as friends or more and I quite enjoy it no matter what way it is shown to be.
  8. For the Fantastic 7, how you do each one is kinda up to you and how you play, but there is this guide which I think is pretty useful. https://www.ign.com/wikis/kingdom-hearts-3/The_Flantastic_Seven_Locations_and_Tips
  9. The Omega fight is a lot more difficult. Even with a Lv. 99 I kept failing until I got a new ship, that being said I'm also not an absolutely AMAZING Gummi Ship pilot myself. The gummi ship is more important than the level though so I highly recommend doing other Gummi Ship missions to unlock more ships and explore to get more parts to help
  10. 301 here as well! I think last summer I played during a 0AP campaign and fought the Jewel Princess at like... lvl 20 and was solo, but I kept just chipping away at her, over and over. I got hundreds of millions of Lux even though I died repeatedly until I finally beat her around 300-301 and I haven't been able to level up since lmao
  11. For me I honestly just used the special ones. I don't think I really actually made a Gummi Ship in KH3 at any point. There's a couple of special ones with REALLY HIGH attack that you can unlock just doing some of the fights around the area and completing Gummi Missions. Those don't require you to have the blocks nor do they require you to fit them within the cost allowance. I highly recommend going through your Special ships section when you choose what ship you want to use and see what you have and what ones are good in terms of attack damage and at least a few hundred points in mobility. Other than that the other materials were fairly simple. I honestly had most, if not all of them, by time I got all the Orichalcum +. I think the only material I actually had to farm for was the Wellsping Crystal and that I found just doing The Caribbean's Battle Gate a few times was all I needed to get all those.
  12. The Seasalt Trio reunion. I literally had to pause the game because I was sobbing from it. Q~Q
  13. I LOVED the Xion and Saix fight. Especially after Roxas joins in and we get the amazing remix music Q~Q Plus Roxas and Xion returning had me literally sobbing. Tho I did kinda just keep hitting Saix until he fell down. Learning more about him and his motivations was really nice too
  14. Welcome! I actually had to do a double take at your name because I used to play Final Fantasy XIV with someone named N’hara and am still (albeit much less talkatively) friends with them on Twitter lol but it’s nice to meet you! And I hope you enjoy the community
  15. While I didn't even have an account back then, I did visit the site all those years ago as a lurker. And while things here may certainly have changed since then, things in life often do, I want to welcome you back as well and hope that you enjoy your stay in this community once more
  16. Rogue! Give me them stabbers! And what do you mean GRAVE ROBBING is a CRIME?!
  17. I always suspected something about Xigbraig but I never expected THAT. I was sure we’d get a hint at least to who Luxu was but to flat out be like “yeah I’m Luxu and I’ve changed bodies a few times” was O_O
  18. If they did Alien in KH... would that mean we get to wield a Gunblade?
  19. I will say, in all honesty, it depends on what you mean by fanservice Fanservice that is more cameos or additions from past games that blends well with the game setting and story is generally not seen as a bad thing. Like how Final Fantasy XIV has a LOT of crossover stuff. In fact the entire raid tier for the Stormblood Expansion was set around bosses from previous Final Fantasy entries and it was taken rather well. And that's just one example from the game. Kingdom Hearts has a lot of references itself (heck look at Yozora and how tongue in cheek that was of a reference and even how The World Ends with You and Final Fantasy characters were, and still are, HEAVILY requested for more representation in the series.) Fanservice that is just tossing in references here, there, everywhere, just for the sake of having callouts to past entries in the series or related games or even inspirations of the devs. Those can be jarring if not done well (like hey why is character X suddenly in a game not about them or connected to their universe???). It needs to mesh well and fit within the setting and narrative or it just doesn't work as well. The third type of fanservice that is seen, especially in Japan, is sexualization and stuff like that of characters and is generally just seen as tacky and does not contribute to the story other than trying to appease a specific demographic. Dead or Alive as a series is still often left out of fighting game tournaments because it was such a fanservice heavy game in that it is notorious for its depictions of women, despite being a good fighting game at its core.
  20. Or do you? DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNN
  21. Just as another thing, I don't really see many of the franchises outside of what Disney itself has produced making it into KH. Disney and Pixar have worked very very closely together since the acquisition which makes that a little bit more understandable as to how Pixar franchises got included in KH3, but Nomura himself noted that they have to ask not just Disney, but the individual companies as well and anyone that has control over the franchise (looking at you EA with your exclusivity contract from Lucas Arts for Star Wars games for a while). Which makes it a little bit more challenging than to simply just say "Hey Disney, we would like to use Avatar in our next KH game, would that be okay?" cus even if Disney greenlights it, they would then also have to petition Fox and whoever else might have control over Avatar.
  22. I agree that they were all tasked with keeping secrets, but none of that immediately is "traitorous" behavior, and none of them really felt like traitors to me. They were just doing what they were told. However it was the "one of you is a traitor and has an extra page that the others are missing, but I'm not going to tell you who!" on top of all that that made me feel he was messing with the others and intentionally trying to pit them against each other rather than there actually being a "true" traitor, even if I feel that one of them may be considered a traitor as I mentioned above. It feels like he was more just trying to cause them grief intentionally rather than there being that REAL traitor, unless it was him all along That's honestly very possible.
  23. In all honesty, I believe it was just the MoM messing with them, putting them on edge and ensuring they don't work together in order to bring about the Keyblade War. We can assume that if they weren't informed of a traitor (or rather one that holds the missing page of the Book of Prophecies being a traitor) it is far more likely that the Unions would have gotten along for the entirety of their existence, and only someone acting out would have driven the divide that came about from knowing that there was a traitor. So while there WAS a "Traitor" I don't think they were a traitor in the sense that they were betraying the Foretellers as the MoM made it seem.
  24. My theory is that, while we see an older Xehanort than what he should be, it was likely we were seeing an older version of him that went back to the islands after the fact. We know that Xehanort is well versed in time magic, so at this point he might have just had more of a vision, or feeling, than anything else happening and when he partook in the Mark of Mastery exam he might have found his way back to Destiny Islands which is when his future Heartless traveled back in time and met up with him and told him of his "destiny". It can be assumed the Young Xehanort and the Scala ad Caelum Xehanort are only a couple years apart in age, at most (look at how fast Riku grew in only a year). So the younger version we see playing chess could very well have been the one that left the island, only for him to return a couple years down the line as a detour on his pilgrimage and seeing just how "small" his world was compared to others he had seen. Knowing that he would be back to that place, and Destiny Islands being a significant world despite its size, Ansem could have easily decided to wait there for him knowing he was better versed in the way of the Keyblade and more prepared to handle his destiny than he was when he was younger. Again, this is just a theory, but that's the best explanation I have for it.
  25. Fairy Harp: Turns into a dagger or cutlass like would be used in Neverland and allows Sora to temporarily fly freely. His attack speed is given a small haste effect to account for the smaller weapon and his movement speed is also give a small increase. At the end he does a flurry of attacks on the closest target in a small radius similar to the Peter Pan summon in KH2!
