There's a possibility we have just gotten the art for the title screen unless this isn't it. As much as I prefer the illustrated title screens, it would be pretty cool to see this artwork in animated 3D with Sora's clothes and hair moving in the wind and having the tides underneath his feet rolling in and out with a mixture of the light sounds of the waves crashing in the background and the KH 3 version of Dearly Beloved playing.
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedI know, right? Both would be absolutely gorgeous. I wouldn't know which one would be my favorite either. The dilemma of choosing between two equally good options is so hard.
Merilly repliedInitially I thought that I would definitely prefer the traditional artwork, but imagining a 3D animation give me an impression of a relaxing feeling with the soft sound of the waves, maybe a lighter coloring reminiscent of the artworks... Ah, that sounds just so pretty and calming. This is not to say an artwork can't be, but perhaps a part of that desire for traditional title screens comes from our nostalgia and because many found 0.2's lackluster.
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedKH title screens always gave me sense of calm and warmth and both could give the same effect and really light lighting would make it even better. Nostalgia is an added bonus but like I still wouldn't be able to choose between the two. I love imagining and planning out how this kind of stuff. Makes you want to create it yourself even if your not an expert on either of these types of crafts.
keyslinger repliedIt fits in line with the main console title screens in KH1 Sora is facing the ocean on the shore in two he’s farther out and his back is turned in this one he’s fully turned around walking in the ocean.
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedHere's a screenshot too:
imagine how this would look in color though!ITzDarthLordRevan repliedHe's also holding a particular object like he does with his mouth in the 1st and 2nd game. Notice how the paopu fruit he's holding has a chunk missing out of it. I wouldn't doubt of this in fact the title screen artwork.
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedThey also have a cut out of the anniversary art Nomura did with Sora sitting in a throne in color if your interested in seeing it. It beautiful:

Skywardwing: "Got that Juicy email. Now we wait." HMK: "LOL. I know that Email, but don't be scaring people." Skywardwing: "I WANT IT! YOU KNOW I DO!" HMK: "I KNOW MAN when I saw the Email I was like OH SKY IS GONNA LIKE THIS." Churro: "I know what you're talking about." Are they talking about what I THINK they're talking about?!
Green Sparrow repliedI don't know what any of you are talking about lol What do you think they're talking about?
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedIt's some famous kh youtubers tweeting this on Twitter to each other. Considering the got emails from SE that invited them to that one exclusive event where they got to play a demo of KH 3 for the first, I'm thinking they maybe talking about them getting emails from Square Enix stating that they are going to get the opportunity to get an early review copy of KH 3.
Green Sparrow repliedOh! Okay! Thanks! That's not really that exciting, since they were going to buy the game and give it raving reviews anyway. But good on them I guess.
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedNo problem. I'm just excitable when it comes to these kinds of things lol. Sorry.

Even if we barely know anything about it, I wouldn't be surprised if the "Key to Return Hearts" isn't an actual Keyblade.
KingdomHearts3 repliedI actually think it is the Master Keeper all because Goofy said “May your heart be your guiding key”.
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedI think it's entirely possible that it's an ability unique to Sora that he can gain when he becomes a Keyblade Master. Considering this is a Disney and Square Enix game, I wouldn't doubt that Sora inherits some cheesy Deus Ex Machina ability that Sora can use to save everyone.
Merilly repliedYeah, that's exactly in my line of thinking. It's not an uncommon trope to use that the main characters are searching for something or someone and it's been them all along. I'm not saying it absolutely will happen, but it's not exactly unlikely either. Of course Master Keeper is also a potential option, though we still don't know how they even know what to search for or that this key even exists. I still think it's not a literal key, or Keyblade, though.

I don't quite understand why so many people think the chess scene looks better than in the 2015 trailer... Honestly, Eraqus is glowing orange and his face is flat and not as expressive in comparison.
KeybladeMasterBalo repliedThe lightning IS way better. You can see it on the reflection in the chess pieces and board. As for Eraqus' face is not flat at all IMO. The orange light is a reflection produced by the yellowish walls and contrast of the strong light coming from the outside.
KeybladeMasterBalo repliedIt's quite accurately represented as I've seen that glow in real life.
Merilly repliedIt's actually not. Skin does not reflect light like plastic does. It receives a bit of that color but the only reason light would reflect off of skin would be if the skin is oily. It's a matter of subjective opinion, but the face of Eraqus looked much better in the 2015 trailer. His skin looked smoother, it was not an evening sun like in Twilight Town and the eyes were simpler, actually reflected light and did not look painted on.
Merilly repliedIn my opinion, it is better not to overdo the lighting in characters in that art style. The expressiveness of faces and their emotions suffer from too many shadows hiding the features. If a style is too intricate for eyes, actual movements are harder to detect because they get lost in the lighting. Apart from easier use, it's also a reason why cartoons and animated movies often use them sparingly so the focus lies on the characters' faces.
Merilly repliedI realize that people have different mindsets about that ane not everyone values expressive and lively features as much as I do but KH3 is really inconsistent with that, especially for original characters. More is not necessarily better. They're prone to overdoing the lighting, 0.2 has shown that as well. I don't find it necessary for characters to merge with their surroundings. Sticking out a little helps focusing on them.
Merilly repliedMy statement mainly affects characters, not the environment. The chess pieces look fine, the backgrounds as well. But Eraqus' face doesn't look really organic to me. The skin looks inflated and unnatural, the eyes aren't really reflecting anything and all in all I personally prefer simple but expressive features with little but effective lighting to highlight emotions. But to each their own.
KeybladeMasterBalo repliedI see now. Then it bothers you in a way because you like, at least for this series, simpler and cartoonish lightning that overall helps the character to stand out. It's ok, but remember mostly everyone complained about this in Port Royal and some of the earlier trailers for KH3. Nomura and team listened to this and they "fixed it". That's why everyone is happier with the graphics right now.
KeybladeMasterBalo repliedIt might also be the position of Eraqus' face since he was leaning towards the light before and he has his hair covering his face on the recent one. It might change a bit once the cutscene plays in your T.V. and the movement become more notorious.
Merilly repliedYeah, that would be it. I feel like this notion of making characters fit in demanded sacrifices on the end of expressiveness because it requires an equal amount of detail. Since UE4 excels in backgrounds and effects quite impressively, the characters had to follow and it just feels a little odd for cartoonish characters to mirror that level of detail. I've watched many anime/cartoons and also played games and most favored emotional capacity over level of detail.
Merilly repliedI think it's also noteworthy that it does not affect every cutscene and some look fine to me, which is probably why those tinted in an extreme sunset orange bother me most. It could still change of course but I feel that this is a bit more noticeable than, let's say, Sora in San Fransokyo, who had a nicer skin tone which looked a little more even and not quite aa prone to unnecessary reflections.
Merilly repliedDon't get me wrong, I'm overall fairly happy with how it looks, but in comparison to the Disney characters, the original ones are not nearly as consistent and a bit more flat with how their eyes move and their facial depth. Still, it looks much better than 0.2 initially did,I'm just a little thrown off by how late details are fixed in this game regarding characters and saw them change something for the worse in 0.2 for example where Aqua suddenly looked orange and inflated.

I think I just may not watch any more trailers, I'm beginning to frustrate myself..
KeybladeMasterBalo repliedThat's OK. If you think it's the moment go for it. It won't be long until the game releases now.
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedGood on ya and good luck. You only have four months to go. I've wanted to stop watching them but it's too tempting not to.

I can see why Nomura is not worried about having FF characters. He already has his plate full with all the KH characters appearing on KH3. The only thing I will miss is not having our traditional badass FF character in Olympus Coliseum. Fight the Gods with Hercule and a older Zack would be perfect.

Just realized something. How in the world does Sora get into Ventus’s heart if Ventus’s heart IS inside of Sora? The only way I see It happening is Sora using the keyblade on himself or something. Guess we’ll find out in the game
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedYeah, I'm pretty sure he was is in his heart in BBS and in KH 1. Ventus also has been inside his own heart twice. I assume every Keyblade Wielder has their own personal Station of Awakening they've at least visited once. A lot of people seem to either go unconscious or at least have their eyes closed when they visit a Station of Awakening. Sora's physical body could possibly be unconscious in this scene.

So wait, is Even a seeker? In DDD we see that he's still asleep wearing his lab coat and stuff. Now he's wearing the coat? But he is talking to demyx about what I think is xehenorts plan and how they were all tricked.....what's the deal nomura??!
ITzDarthLordRevan repliedYep. Vexen's a nort. At this point, I'm not going to question why Vexen's a seeker. I expected Demyx to be a seeker, but not Vexen.
PrinceNoctis repliedEven is indeed a seeker. There's a scene where Demyx enters the lab in Radiant Garden carrying who wears a smock, maybe that was Even. My guess is they grab Even during the game and make him a seeker because they need his brains.
